Frost Tiger Fanart Game : Viewtiful Joe 2
Episode 2 of Viewtiful Joe is now up!
I ran into some audio issues while recording, and I tried my best to fix it during editing. I hope you all still enjoy it regardless!
Alastor Fanart Game : Viewtiful Joe
Viewtiful Joe ~ Joe the Hero (Main Theme)
Port Begging for: Viewtiful Joe
Publisher: Capcom
Developer: Capcom
Original Platform: Gamecube
Port it to: Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, PC
Back at the beginning of the Gamecube’s life Capcom made a deal with Nintendo to bring 5 exclusive titles to the platform. While this deal didn’t end up being all that exclusive, it did allow for Capcom to create a new hero - Viewtiful Joe.
Joe, a normal, movie watching geek, gets sucked into movies and becomes a super hero to save his girlfriend. Joe’s beat-em-up antics featured gameplay unique to the series where one can slow down or speed up the game to cause more damage, and look totally rad.
The series was then also ported to the PlayStation 2, got a sequel, a fighting game, and a pretty awesome game on the Nintendo DS. Since then the series has been quiet, outside of bringing Joe back for a few fighting games.
It’s unfortunate that the game never made it to the HD era. Much like Jet Set Radio, its cell shaded style looks gorgeous at 1080p, courtesy of the Dolphin Emulator. Even more odd considering the other team Viewtiful title, Okami, got itself ported over to the Wii and then PlayStation 3, and that Capcom went out of their way to make a Devil May Cry collection.
As mentioned the game looks great already, and outside of some low resolution textures and HUD issues would make a great digital download title on current and next generation consoles.
