Last week I went to Walmart and they already had their Breast Cancer gear out ready for sale. Breast Cancer research is also very close to my heart. My mother is a Stage 4 metastatic Breast Cancer survivor, so yes, to me Breast Cancer research is very important to me. However I do firmly believe that Pediatric Cancer deserves just as much awareness and support if not more. Children are out future. Even though September has come to an end we still need to #gogold for Childhood Cancer. Too many children are suffering and too many have been taken away by this horrible disease. My best friend Kaley spent more than half of her life fighting Leukemia. She fought as a child, teen and as a young adult because their isn’t enough funding to find a cure that didn’t damage her body. Although I consider it a success that we increased national funding for research from 4% to 7%, anyone who has been effected by cancer knows that 7% is just not enough. Go gold all year long, not just for 30 days in September. I #GoGold all year long for my best friend Kaley, who passed from Leukemia in 2009. I #GoGold for Gabby, an osteosarcoma survivor. I #GoGold for Abri, an Ewing Sarcoma survivor. I #GoGold for Brody, who’s currently fighting Leukemia. I #GoGold for Jessie, who fought DIPG, a fatal type of Neroblastoma. I #GoGold for Emily who shared the same birthday as me and fought sPNET Brain Cancer. I #GoGold for my friend’s children, and all the little loves I’ve baby sat and cuddled. I #GoGold for my cousins children and hope they are never effected like I have been. And I #GoGold for the child I hope to have someday, and find comfort in the hope that someday soon we will have a cure. #Gabbystrong #TeamAbri #BattlingforBrody #NEGU #TeamNEGU #jessierees #LoveLikeEmi #osteosarcoma #ewingsarcoma #leukemia #neuroblastoma #DIPG #spnet #braincancer #GoGold #childhoodcancerawareness #pediatriccancerawareness #morethan7 https://www.instagram.com/p/BoYOlqQjVwA/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=6akwcist86bv
