Iwan Rheon: "I get to do loads of different things and show sides to Ramsay that you haven't seen before. Ramsay is quite tactical though, too – and you'll see that in this season. You'll see him change a bit, and take his responsibilities more seriously."
Straight off the bus, physical warm up completed and into practice. #TeamBolton have arrived at the National Tennis Centre for National Junior Club League Finals. @britishtennis (at Roehampton National Tennis Centre)

Using the Olympic lifts with youth athletes can have a powerful impact on sports performance. In this video, Charlie is performing a squat clean with 60kg on the bar and a serve. Notice in both movements the rapid extension of his ankles, knees and hips. This delivers the explosive power required for both movements. Not only can Olympic lifts such as the clean increase power production but they require high levels of whole body coordination making them a great tool for increasing an athletes awareness of their body. Charlie has his sights on achieving a scholarship to an American University for September 2016. His physical programme and technical training are geared towards giving him the tools to achieve that goal. Here is Lily completing a bear crawl as part of her one-to-one session. Lily is making the transition from Orange to Green Ball Tennis which places increased demand on her body. The larger court size and higher compression ball means that the game is both faster and taking place over a much larger area. Therefore it is important that Lily is strong and stable through all of her joints to deal with these increased demands. The bear crawl is great for creating stability and strength in the joints, particularly the shoulders. It also helps develop full body coordination which is important for any athlete regardless of age or competition level. #MDFITNESS #MDFITNESSUK #TeamBolton #UsnBoltonArenaTennisAcademy #Tennis #Athlete #AthleticDevelopment
