* SPOILER ALERT (and a lot of swear)* Guys we really need to discuss about the Glass Sword. Or at least I NEED IT! I basically had a lot of contrasting emotions and opinions about this book. Some kind of a love-hate relationship. I was deeply in love with Red Queen because it was smart, brilliant and perfectly narrated but right now i don’t know what to think. Some part of me loved Glass Word because most of it was not predictable and i felt like being a part of the scarlet guard on a mission alongside with Cal, Shade, Farley and all the rest of the crew. I totally loved the fact that everyone has a crucial role, small or bigger, and everyone is important in the story. BUT i’m really struggling with Mare and i didn’t think it was even possible. She turned out to be a total badass blood-thirst bitch, a heartless and tactless main character. She felt like a completely different person from the first book. Don’t get me wrong, i get why but i don’t get how you can change so much overnight. She was caring, devoted to her family and constantly challenging her heart with new adventures and in this book she seems totally flat. No emotions, no feeling, no real relationship even long before she meets corpses at some kind of trap or meet Jon predicting the future. Anyone can betray anyone and this time i feel betrayed by Mare. I guess the Reds can understand my feeling a bit. Another thing that makes me a little mmmm is Queen Elara’s death. Again, there is a massive lack of emotion in this scene. What the hell, the damned bitch is dead, people should dance on her corpse and drink uncountable shots of tequila! Anyway, i get it again, maybe events had to run a little bit faster in the final chapters. What this book taught me is that i actually am part of the #TeamCal and i gave him no credit in the first book but right now i just want to smash Mare’s head for being such a nasty asshole! The thing is now i need to read what happens next! How long ‘till 2017? What do you think about the Glass Sword? #glasssword #redqueen
