Close Grip Bench: 100 kgs. (220 lbs.) 2 x 6 Power Cleans: 75 kgs. (165 lbs.) 2 x 3 Sumo DL's: 135 kgs. (297 lbs.) 2 x 6 Headed to S&S Bushwick early this Saturday for some early training, which I usually dread, but the amazing weather today plus the fact that the J was actually running through Brooklyn on a weekend made me look forward to going today. Got in some good lifting this morning. Power cleans felt ten times better than last week thanks to some form tips from @abigail.betsabe., managed to work my way up to 165 lbs. today for some stress free triples @ RPE 8. I like how fast the elbows shoot into place on these. Starting to warm up to sumo a bit more although I still staunchly consider myself #teamconventional 😂😂😂. I was hoping to make my way up to 308 lbs. for 6s but all the power cleaning made me feel a bit gassed out so I only was able to pull 4. So instead I settled for 297 lbs. which was fine. Working on keeping the knees and toes out and getting my hip as close to the bar as possible before the pull. Really liking these variations / power clean stuff Anthony is throwing in here.
