Bliss on the Beltline: How to Plan the Perfect Day Trip
With summer in fully swing, now is the perfect time to grab your friends, family or sweetheart and spend a day on the Beltline!
One of our PA’s, Julia, spent her Saturday on the Beltline last weekend and wants to share all the ins and outs to having the ideal weekend day.
Start The Day With Brunch In my opinion, there’s no better way to start a Saturday than with brunch. For my day on the Beltline, me and my guy headed to BeetleCat for a delicious meal of double cheeseburgers, lobster rolls, crispy waffle fries and of course, a big mimosa for me - it wouldn’t be brunch without one!
After feasting on our mouthwatering brunch, we were completely full and ready to start walking the Beltline. But not without grabbing a couple drinks first!
Take A Cocktail To Go One of the best parts of the Beltline is the freedom to walk around with a cocktail in hand! We grabbed some delicious tequila-punch from BeetleCat to go and decided to relax at an open table and people watched for a little before we explored. There’s so much to see along the Beltline, sometimes you just need to take it all in first!
Begin Your Walking Tour After a little people watching, we got up and got ready to go! Walking along the Beltline introduces you to so many businesses, restaurants and so much culture. Stop to admire the art and music happening around you, and don’t forget to take pictures!
Walk Down to Ponce City Market We took our walking tour pretty seriously and walked down to Ponce City Market, and I’d highly recommend it! Ponce is a great place to enjoy the sweeter things - stop into one of the candy or flower shops if you’re on a date night to really feel the love!
If you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, the King of Pops pop-up stand right outside of Ponce is the perfect place to do so! We grabbed a few popsicles to go, enjoyed them in a shady spot, and started our journey back towards the Beltline.
End the Night with One More Cocktail Two-Go Top off the evening with one more cocktail to go - there’s no better way to cool down and wind down after a long day. We stopped at TWO urban licks for their two-go cocktails (I got the Moscow Mule and it was delicious!) and beers, and enjoyed their live music on the patio.
It was perfect weather and TWO is so spacious, making it the ideal place to enjoy a drink while still social distancing.
There’s so much to do and see on the Beltline, but these are a few of the ways I loved enjoying my day there. No matter what you do, make sure to plan a day trip there this summer!
