On Saturday I ran my longest run EVER, 8 miles!
But since then I've been dealing with some plantar fasciitis pain. I was worried that, much like the past couple times I've tried training for a half marathon, this was the moment when an injury would sideline me.
However, with the help of my coach @TeamDNation and my trainer at the gym I'm starting to feel much better! Did circuit training yesterday no problem, today some elliptical and yoga with no issues. It still feels a bit tight but the acute pain is gone. So tomorrow I will try running 2-3 miles to see how it feels.
And apparently there a storm about to smack the Northeast, so I'm gonna have to get in what I can outside tomorrow. If I don't end up going out of town this weekend I'll probably do a couple miles on the treadmill.
So overall I'm happy to report that so far so good with the half marathon training. After the 8 miler I feel pretty confident that I can run the whole race, and maybe even under 3 hours! We'll see. Main thing right now is to stay healthy and keep getting stronger!
