It was such a gloomy and rainy Thursday. ☔️ Even though my sleep score was very good last night (93!), I woke up feeling sore and fatigued. Maybe it was the midweek double riser step workout? It has been a minute since I’ve done that one. Whatever it was, I debated on taking a rest day. By lunchtime, I felt ready to give it a try!
I went with my total body cross-training circuit! It’s both highly efficient and highly effective. Today’s workout was a kickboxing circuit: 1 interval of kicking and punching combos, followed by 2 sets of lower body strength training, then 2 sets of upper body strength training. Repeat for 4 cycles!
I still felt pretty sore after the first cycle. But, by cycle 3, I was actually feeling better! And, I was super happy with my calorie burn. 😯 I’m always surprised with how much my workout burns in an hour compared to other trainer’s workouts I do. But, numbers don’t lie! It gets the job done. And, I felt better for the rest of the day. 🙂 Maybe, I just needed to get moving again.
Total calorie burn = 461 kcals 🥳
I’m going to get some rest tonight and see how I feel tomorrow. Just one more planned workout for the week! 🙏🏽🤞🏽
