On Friday, 27th April Miss Zena Bland , Miss Guyana United Nations 2018 attended FIWAL - The Federation of International Women’s Association in London Conference 2018: Women’s Voices Heard - Empowerment and Equality from Around the World. _______________________________________________________ I attended this event with my chaperone, Ms. Yvette Philbert. We were invited by Ms. Rose Naigaga-Gugan, FIWAL Conference Executive. _______________________________________________________ The conference commenced with a welcome from Laura Schapira, President of FIWAL who said, _______________________________________________________ “No matter what part of the world a woman is from, there remains a struggle for equality. Our speakers here today, Dr Justina Mutale, Haifa Zangana, Hana Satriyo, Kate Willoughby and Talyn Rahman-Figueroa each bring a unique perspective to this topic.
