Bear with me, because I’m mobile… Idk but for me #TeamMaven ≠ Mare and Maven romantically involved. Don’t get me wrong, in the right ways, I ship them(or could); they could be potentially great rulers (or horrible ones). But the #TeamMaven does not always have to represent shipping them together. Maven is easily one of my favorite characters. Yes, I know he is horrible, but I like him as a character, as a villain of sorts and everything else. I think of him when I see things, when I listen to “Emperor’s New Clothes” and “Victorious” by Panic! At the Disco – or “Lawless” (which is my go-to when writing Maven in fics/drabbles) and “Monster” and “Mind Games” by Colours. These, this, and more, are why and how I am #TeamMaven And because in some small, twisted, dark part of my heart, I want to see him succeed (not really but sometimes I think it’d be cool to imagine if he did – and hey, he’s already come this far lbh). But anyway, this came to mind because most of the time people automatically associate it with the characters romantically and a LOT of people (reasonably) become incredibly hostile or jump to to conclusions or judge people about it (because we all know their “relationship” is fake/abusive/toxic - but I’m not getting into all that rn). But like, heyyyyy, you can be team Maven without actually being Team MavenxMare or Team Maven coz you hate Cal or whatever
