The Turtles Don’t Have Tails (2k14/16)
Like, I get it. They were originally animals that had tails so why wouldn’t they have tails? They didn’t go completely human. They arguably have more turtle attributes than human but listen, it’s not the fact that turtles have tails and so they should too. It’s the fact that they went from QUADRUPEDAL TO BIPEDAL. To stand upright with the musculature of a human they need to have a spine and a pelvis. The pelvis MUST connect to the spine. The human body’s tail bone is an anchor point for muscles in the pelvic floor. In order for the boys to have tails, their tailbone would have to curve back instead of in and you would be surprised how many muscles you have that anchor to your coccyx/sacrum. I guess it’s not inconceivable that those muscles could find another place to anchor but their bone structure would probably have to change and they wouldn’t look the same as how they’re portrayed in the movies. At least that’s what I tell myself.
