Quick update on the Divas Revolution
As of right now, it is pretty obvious that Team PCB (or NBC or CB) are leading this Divas Revolution as they appear to have the most wins since the start of this huge change in the WWE and Charlotte is currently the Divas Champ. Team Bella are currently second with a few more wins over Team B.A.D. which who are in last and losing some momentum. I believe that B.A.D. are going to need some huge victories if they plan on taking the Divas title away from Charlotte and Team PCB. That is, if the "P" in "PCB" doesn't decide to put herself in the #1 contender spot.

Who Really Started the Divas Revolution?
As many of you know I love wrestling and my all-time favorite wrestler is the awe-inspiring Lita. Many of the fans today don’t see her as a Diva because of her high-flying and daring moves done in the ring and her “anit-diva” like image with fishnets, baggy pants and her illustrious thong hanging out of her pants. She isn’t their vision of a Diva, but in all actual reality, she was THE diva in the Attitude Era and even now. She still gets cheers whenever her name is said and people still bring signs relating to her to live events. I never saw her as a Diva either growing up, but I did see her as a women’s wrestler that pushed herself to be great just like the guys were doing. As Beth Phoenix and Natalya said years ago about their coworkers, Lita wasn’t one of the “blonde, prissy, Barbie dolls.” She wasn’t the classic Diva in the eyes of many, but she WAS the one who revolutionized women’s roles in the WWE. Many are saying that Team Bella, Team PCB, the NXT Divas or Team BAD started the revolution, but that is wrong. They only reignited it after many years. Without Lita, there wouldn’t be as much Diva time on WWE programming or such physical contact between the women as there is today. For example, there have been two divas matches as the main event of Raw and she was in both and won the Women’s Championship in BOTH matches. Of course she didn’t do it alone, but she was the main person to light the flame on the torch that has been passed down from Diva to Diva each year. Victoria, Trish, Ivory, Molly Holly, and Chyna were also big contributors to the revolution of women’s roles in the WWE. They worked hard to show everybody that women weren’t just eye candy, but real people who were doing what they loved and were strong, powerful women. Lita broke down the barriers, stepped through the door and never looked back as Natalya said in an interview. Without her the Bella Twins, Paige, Natalya, Naomi, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Alicia Fox, Tamina and many other Divas wouldn’t be where they are today. She wasn’t the quintessential Diva according to many of her former coworkers. As Lita said on her last Monday Night Raw, “You people seem to forget, you have a very short memory, forgetting who I am and what I’ve done. Let me remind you: I single-handedly revolutionized women’s roles in the WWE. No, listen to this: Before me, all women were eye candy. There were no moonsaults, there were no Lita-canranas. All the sacrifices I made, whether tearing everything out of my knee, whether BREAKING MY NECK or getting verbally berated by you idiots every week… all the sacrifices I made. I inspired a generation of women. Without me, there would be no Mickie James. For that matter, without me there would be no Trish Stratus.” So, in other words, we as WWE fans, need to thank Lita for everything the women are able to do today in the company and for everything that we saw years prior. Many people will give me grief about this, but it is my opinion as a wrestling fan for over 11 years, that Lita is the reason we have a revolution or at least HAD a revolution that has just reignited over the past few months.
Agree with me or not, Lita revolutionized women’s wrestling and left a legacy!
