Users of Tumblr
Who are the users?
For someone to be famous on Tumblr, the user must have a lot of followers. Commonly, the number of followers of each blog is unknown or not revealed. Therefore, tumblr blogs that have the most reactions otherwise known as “notes” on each of their blog posts are “tumblr famous”. Those who are casual users don’t really have that many followers. The average tumblr blog has about 100-200 followers. However, most people that use tumblr casually “reblog” content from famous users to promote their work or posts. Also, those who aren’t famous use tumblr to express work that they find interesting and the posts typically fall under a theme.

These famous users are very well known bloggers in the tumblr world. Many of the post that they present on their blogs are to bring an online presence of their work on Tumblr since many people use tumblr to reblog people’s photos. It’s a great for these artists or photographers to promote their work online in order to present themselves to an infinite amount of people online.

Casual users on Tumblr mostly reblog peoples work or original content. They are online to look for work, texts, photo, etc. that interest them. When they reblog or like people’s work, it brings the content to their own blogs which enables the original post to branch to other peoples' blogs including those who aren’t “tumblr famous.” Even this blog would be considered as a "casual use" tumblr blog.
