Every Hand Has a Voice
On match day, the stadium buzzed with excitement as thousands of supporters filled the stands.
Before kickoff, Brock Gold #46 noticed something special.
Near the front of the crowd, a team of sign language interpreters stood ready, making every announcement, chant, and celebration accessible for Deaf and hard-of-hearing fans.
As the players walked onto the pitch, Brock turned toward the supporters and signed a simple message he had taken the time to learn:
"Welcome. We're glad you're here."
The crowd erupted in applause.
Some cheered.
Others answered with raised hands waving in the air.
In that moment, it didn't matter how anyone experienced the match.
Everyone shared the same excitement.
Everyone belonged.
