Blog#3: The RRL
As we progress into week 3 of our project, our group gathered once again to discuss one of the most crucial components of our research—the Review of Related Literature (RRL) on medical ticketing. This session allowed us to dive deeper into existing studies, frameworks, and technological advancements related to our proposed system.
During our meeting, each member contributed insights from various sources, ranging from scholarly articles to case studies on medical ticketing systems implemented in different healthcare settings. We explored how digital ticketing has revolutionized patient queue management, reducing wait times and enhancing the efficiency of medical services. Additionally, we examined some of the common challenges faced by hospitals and clinics in adopting these systems, such as integration issues, cost implications, and staff training.
One of the key discussions centered around the importance of an organized and structured ticketing process. Research indicates that a well-designed ticketing system not only improves patient satisfaction but also optimizes hospital workflow, allowing medical personnel to prioritize cases based on urgency. Moreover, we reviewed literature that emphasizes the role of automation in reducing human errors, ensuring accurate patient records, and fostering better coordination among healthcare departments.
We also took note of studies highlighting the drawbacks of manual ticketing systems, such as mismanagement, lost records, and prolonged patient waiting times. These findings reinforced our motivation to develop a solution that addresses these inefficiencies and enhances the overall experience for both patients and healthcare providers.
Our meeting concluded with a clear direction on how we will structure our RRL section. By incorporating the insights from our discussion, we aim to establish a strong foundation that justifies the need for an improved medical ticketing system. This collaborative effort has strengthened our understanding of the topic and solidified our commitment to developing an innovative and efficient solution.
