Character A (taller): I could give you a boost to see the concert stage better.
Character B (shorter): I'm not that short! I'll manage.
Character A: Suit yourself.
Character B: Okay, maybe just a tiny boost.
The villain’s eyes widened in surprise, but their head and smile lilted into amusement as they stared at the hero. “My, my,” they murmured as they stepped over the rubble, crossing the distance faster than the hero could think.
The hero stumbled back, still in shock at what the villain had said. Their hands met concrete, steel - their back hit the wall, and they couldn’t get any further. The villain was in front of them in an instant, a giddy look in their eyes. The hero could do nothing as the villain slowly brought their hands up to cup their cheeks.
“Oh, Hero,” the villain whispered, their breathy laugh almost close enough for the hero to feel it on their lips. “You’re so cute when you’re confused.”
