Hmmm... Great question, angel.

I've never really thought about that one before. What brings me utmost joy is not one of simple value. I'm a complicated man. I push as hard as I pull- I'm someone who's very confusing to be around. What truly makes me... happy... Is loyalty.

Someone who looks at me, and makes me feel like I'm the only one. Now, I don't mean I'm opposed to my angels seeing other people. I don't like telling people what to do- as far as their own relations.

What I mean by loyalty, is when you can look me in the eye as I'm suffering through my deepest darkness and still treat me like I'm... not flawed. You can look at me honestly, and see me, all the evils and all the worst parts of me, and still choose to stay.

That truly keeps me grounded, which is why I appreciate all my angels and hold them so dear. Even though I know many of them interact with other, much less dangerous, real stand up guys... they still come popping by to say they like me. That "makes my heart sing".

I let you keep my eyes covered, and pray you don’t mind the tears that wet your hand. I give a teary smile at your words and carefully, blindly, reach out to catch your face in my hands to pull you back in for another kiss. When I pull away slightly, I let out a ghost of a smile. “I’ll love you until you tell me to stop. And even then, I think I’ll still love you anyways,” I say softly.

I pull my hand down when I feel your tears, watching you slowly open your eyes.

"Don't cry..." I move close, cupping your cheek, kissing at your tear stains. "You know I'd never tell you to stop. I like the attention too much." I let out a small laugh, looking at you with concern.

"You alright, angel? The tears keep coming.." I chuckle, wiping them away with my thumb.

I let you, trying not to cry at my own stupidity, and instead focus on trying to enjoy the feeling of you taking care of me. As you dry me off, I look down at my lap, picking at the skin around my finger nails absentmindedly. When you speak, I glance up at you for a split second, hesitating, before I nod. “Do you not want me to?” I ask, willing to accept whatever outcome you decide on.

I look down, not meeting your eyes. I think about my next move, nervousness making me choke up. I finally gain the courage to lift my hand, clasping it over your eyes, leaning in to give you a soft kiss.

"Love me." I pull away, holding your face with my other hand, staring at your lips. "I'll take responsibility for your feelings." I go in for another kiss, still covering your eyes to hide my blushing face.

As I break from the kiss, my mouth stutters out, my voice coming out weak and low. "I'm.. I'm not sure what it means to love someone, but... I think.. you're as close as I can get."
