It happens to me right before I go to bed… Like, I’d be dozing off and then “What if I’m in a containment room in a psychiatric hospital and I just imagined today, or I’m being tested on in a laboratory to see how long I can live in a simulation?”

That's actually what I end up thinking a lot, too? Like I was helping my mum at the hotel she works at and suddenly I just "what if she isn't my mum. What if she's a nurse or something who just happens to be there a lot and I've latched onto her". And I actually had to stare at her for a little bit to convince myself she was most definitely my mum. 

The worst bits I do are when I'm going to sleep, because my mind decides that's a good time to question life and existence. Like what if everything is just a simulation of some sort? What if everything is like the Matrix, except not so much that we're sleeping and aliens are feeding off of us, but that it's just an artificial reality.
