New article: "April 1st Jokes, Part 1: An Internet Tradition"
In this article, I talk about why April 1st jokes on the web are so meaningful to me, and why I put so much effort into them (and how it pays back). I also go over the first, often forgotten @bobaboard April 1st joke.
I had only vaguely realized before this how the declining popularity of April 1st jokes on the web somewhat coincided with the crumbling of social media websites. Anyway, here's the article, do let me know what you think:
