Google Mapping the UAE desert! on camel !!!

There have been a lot of weird stories about Google street view since it's start in 2007, this is the weirdest, and funnily is true! Google having run out of streets to map, having partially covered 230 countries, Google have decided it's time to send it's cams to the desert!! 

Starting a trial in the Liwa Desert , in the United Arab Emirates, the cameras are held on camel's back, as seen in the above picture.

The company says using camels meant they could take "authentic imagery" with minimal disruption to the environment. Honestly i can't see how they could disturb the environment in a desert, it's the last place on earth where human activity can have an influence on the environment. But i guess Google PR team didn't think it through, when they decided to make themselves look as a green company!
