i have been trying to get involved in the tech community outside of class to last weekend and on Friday i participated in two different hackathons, i was so intimidated by the idea at first, but decided to jump in anyways and was pleasantly surprised.. my team won the first hackathon and got free wristbands to TechFestNW next year.. 

and also the second hackathon, which was being called a Squawkathon because it was for a non profit focusing on the preservation of sea birds. my team also pulled ourselves out of the fire in the end and also got first place...

was super excited.. 

having such a short time frame to come up with innovative and interesting ideas and then having to sell those ideas with presentations.. i love it.. 

met so many cool people and cant wait to participate in any other local events
