Just a little snippet of one of my (many) WIPs. I’m in the process of making a household for the Techie House by @jenba in Oasis Springs. They’re inspired by the TV show Mr. Robot, for anyone who has seen it!

Techie House
This is a mid-century modern ranch home designed to be an "incubator" house for computer programmers (inspired by the show Silicon Valley). As an extra challenge to myself (and because an Anon requested I do some builds with fewer packs), I used only Base Game + Get to Work objects (and one City Living object - the gaming console). For some reason in the Gallery it says I used other packs as well, but I have no idea why (the whole time I decorated, I filtered by Base Game & GTW only), so I think you'll be fine if you don't have them!
I've also uploaded the household I created for this family - you can find them in the Gallery (under the name "Techie Roommates" - for my Gallery info, see below).

So to try out the new stuff we got for the Holiday pack, I had Dheeraj Kohli and his roomies (a.k.a. the Techie House bunch in Maristella) throw a Diwali party (really just a “house party”). I had no idea what I was doing, and none of the invited party guests showed up (my Sims need to make more friends), but oh well. XD
Dheeraj could barely eat the samosas he made (he’s the one firebreathing), and June just drank pretty much the entire time. Might as well get your money’s worth out of the mixologist, right?
When you build a little unassuming suburban house and realize there’s a huge honking casino behind it. XD

BTW this is being built with only Base Game + Get to Work items.
It actually looks kind of cool at night. But if I were playing with CC in this save, I would definitely use Plasticbox’s Empty Props mod to get rid of it! Honestly, more than seasons/pets/whatever, I wish for a world editor for Sims 4. Even if all it lets us do is remove things from or add things to existing landscapes.
Has anyone else had this issue with Sims eating at desks and setting the food right on the computer (or rather, in the keyboard)? I actually switched from tables to desks in this room because I thought maybe that was causing the problem, but it’s happening with the desks, too. I redid this whole little computer area with MOO turned off so I don’t think that’s a contributing factor. It’s just weird because I’ve never seen it crop up in any of my other houses. But maybe it’s because I didn’t have a bunch of computers clustered together with social activity going on, my Sims didn’t feel compelled to eat at a desk?

@vicarious-sims: LOL, thanks! Yeah, I mostly borrowed the “idea” of it and not the actual house. Mine is owned by a guy with fairly classy taste. XD Plus he can afford to have a maid come through and clean the house.

yeesssss I love this I kept thinking about erlichs house and what it would look like in sims!
@lettucerot, I’m only a few episodes in, but I do love Erlich’s house! I don’t think I could do it justice, though, so I just took the concept and built something completely different. Glad you like it, though! :)
