As always, feel free to tag me if you end up using them.
Tobin
Darnell and Simone were best friends growing up, but lost touch after Darnell left home. And when tragedy hit the Tobin siblings, Simone and Cora moved in with him. Time apart has made them different people; Darnell works nights at the bar and does tattooing during the day while Simone still struggles to find her place. Darnell sees potential in her, but she refuses to embrace it and hangs out with the wrong crowd. Meanwhile Cora, having never got to know her brother, wants to be just like him.
Hernandez
Gloria and Arturo always had big goals as a couple, even if the early years of their relationship were a struggle. As she worked to become a judge after university, Gloria stood by her husband while he was working on his debut novel (even as there were doubts that he would ever complete it). Their kids have less practical ambitions; Ángel streams videogames in his spare time and dreams of being a standup comedian, though he’s slow to pick up on social cues, and Lucía wants to be a movie star.
Bhatti
The Bhatti’s value the nicer things in life. Dinesh worked hard to get where he is in his company and loves having things to show for it. A renowned art dealer with expensive tastes, Priyanka has traveled all over procuring rare items for her collection. With such busy schedules, they rarely find time for their daughters Asha and Rupal. Since Namrata moved in to help raise the girls, she’s been able to provide structure. But her constant presence has created a rift between Priyanka and Dinesh.
Party House
Mariah and Paulina became friends after a night out dancing at the club and became roommates shortly after. Paulina loves her job as a personal trainer at the most expensive gym in town, but still feels lonely in love. Mariah couldn’t be more different; though romance is how she makes her living, she places a higher value on self-love. Ever the loyal friend, she offered a room to her high school bestie Tristan, an aspiring actor who fell on hard times and results to side hustles to pay the rent.
Husseini-Ramos
This well-connected couple has amassed great success in their fields; Amir gets to bring his wildest fashion ideas to life for high class clientele and Diego never tires of seeing the awe on his clients’ faces after finishing their dream homes. They adopted three kids, but that didn’t slow their grind. Leila has the full support of her dads as she chases the influencer lifestyle, Bilal is perfectly content locked in his room reading books, and tiny Aliyah has both dads wrapped around her finger.
Hewitt & Dobbs
Besties Rianna and Spencer bonded instantly over their shared experiences of growing up different in a small town. They got a small apartment in the city together where they could follow their individual passions; Rianna pursuing a career as a celebrity stylist and Spencer as a successful drag queen. They’ve been able to make the living situation work, but they both know it’s not a long-term solution, especially as Spencer gets more and more clout and the success goes to their head.
Nellis
Genevieve’s worldview always led her to put others first. It’s no wonder she became a music teacher, instilling young minds with a love for the arts. Her son Romeo was no exception; he has dreams of performing songs all over the world! But dreams can’t pay the bills and Genevieve’s brother Marcel, ever loyal to his family, moved in to help. As a photographer, he’s able to help his nephew with marketing for his music. But one day, Marcel knows that he should focus on himself and find a partner.
Melnyk
As a retired schoolteacher turned camp counselor, Olena has always loved kids. Running a small business is no easy feat, but she’s determined to make it work in her remaining days. She’s proud of her son Aleksander, whose job as a funeral director makes it hard to not think about what’s to come. Kateryna does freelance writing but is more inclined to help her mother-in-law with the family business while also trying to wrangle in an unruly teenage Evhen, let alone his melancholy brother Borys.
Boateng-Lybeck
Today, you’d never know that Olaf was once an acclaimed musician in his youth, selling out shows all over the world. Knowing that his time in the limelight has ended and obsessing over his own mortality drove him to drink to excess. He currently lives with his daughter Emilie, an artsy entrepreneur who wants to run her own pottery store, her husband Yusef and their two girls. Yusef was always willing to support his wife’s goals, but caring for an unstable father-in-law was not part of his plans.
