Digging Deep!
This post shall pretty much do the task of explaining the title of my blog, "Technical Aspects". One great thing that separates innovators from non-innovators is their ability to know a concept so well that they are able to apply it in an absurdly improbable way.
Knowing a concept is one thing and applying it is another. We must be aware of the difference between external learning as well as internal learning. External learning is knowing where as internalizing it is applying. It may sound abstract, so here are some examples -
A few days ago, my father put a status message on Facebook saying something like this "Why is Facebook wall flooded with good thoughts but reality still remains ugly?" this triggered a thought chain. Well, most of us, read good thoughts and let them pass by without stopping them and thinking about it. We don't quite get the context or the depth of those quotes. It may sound and look impressive and may be present a better picture of world but nothing is changing by readin them. Its only when we internalize a quote and apply it in real life the effects could be seen. The difference is in knowing technical aspects of the quote and conceptual aspects of the same.
Its believed that best coders are the ones who are fastest at Google-ing, while that may be true I believe the best designers are not ones who are fastest at Google-ing. World has enough good coders, but the rarity is in finding good designers - thats the difference I am talking about.
And its for the same reasons I find blogs dangerous. And main-stream media. And all the things which provide less or incomplete information and formation of wrong insights.
Hence the name of this blog. A medium to dig deep in a topic. Getting hands dirty in application of a concept rather than sitting and admiring the beauty of it. For information is everywhere and insight is so rare.
