In Kill La Kill, every time there’s an in-universe TV, it’s showing footage from earlier in the episode (in true anime fashion.) Because of this, the in-universe broadcast features audio and camera angles that we, the audience, saw, but should be completely physically impossible for any in-universe camera crew to have obtained.

Unless…?

That’s right. I’m proposing a secret, sixth member of the Elite Four, just offscreen the entire time: the Three-Star Uniformed President of the AV Club.

Why do we never see them? Because a TV technical director isn’t going to show themselves, they’re focused on showing the audience what’s going on. And as the anime clearly shows, they’re the one who made the anime.

The AV Club President is Studio Trigger.

At the end of every school year, Columbia hosts an urban arts festival in the south loop. We steamed the events live jumping from location to location. For this event, I worked as both a camera operator and technical director. In this segment, I was the technical director.

And another installment of "The first time I heard this song was". The first time i heard 'Thrift Shop' by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis was when I was technical directing a show, the director wanted it to be the bow song.
