Axiom meets Mule, fantasy AU @charseraph

General thoughts on ENA!Mule meeting Noumena...

Insouciant generally gets along superficially well with most people, so he'd gel fairly decently with Noumena initially, though I believe his insufferable unpredictability will wear any possible friendship very thin very fast. The lack of depth of Insouciant would become apparent- the mirage fades, the lake becomes dry sand, and Noumena realises this isn't something worth drinking from. Axiom would likely keep him at an arm's length- cordial, but not friendly. He's easy to convince to do many things, so quite useful for Axiom, if somewhat limited in precise application due to his irrationality. There's a man who buys whatever she's selling.

There's a degree of danger in Insouciant's careless attitude which would probably piss off Praxis somewhat. Here's the bad crowd Praxis has been aiming to draw Axiom away from. Not necessarily seeking to harm, but harmful just through his continued existence, like radiation. The threat of Cold-Blooded lingers in the air about Insouciant, suffocatingly impermeable, never predictable. Sawed off shotgun sitting pretty waiting for a hand to direct it before it blows itself up and takes you with it.

The Unicorn / Flagellation rarely deigns to show itself to anyone. It's like Insouciant's creepy roomate who he basically never sees. No one's sure of its work schedule or what the hell it does. If it met either Axiom or Praxis it would simply walk past them, even if they were in it's house. It's not a nice thing to talk to, not in a nasty way, but in the way talking to a brick wall isn't fun. It doesn't care what you're doing so long as it doesn't directly affect it.

bonus what-if with Psychesoma...

Flagellation would be most likely of any of them to align with Psychesoma in any way. Silent and drowning in sorrows, the broken mule is a weak animal, quite predictable. It has no interest in anything but itself and its pain. This makes it relatively safe to be around. It's not pleasant, though. Safe doesn't mean enjoyable.

Most of Mule's aspects are a bit too much for the quieter ENA- he's loud, gregarious, unpredictable, grating on the nerves after too long of an exposure. Insouciant tries his best but his puddle soul can't even wet Psychesoma's hands let alone submerge them. The quiet intensity of Cold-Blooded may be tolerable if not for the aggression. That mule kicks.
