Ash was leaning in the alleyway, having a smoke. "Hey, join me?" He asked, cocking his head to the side.
Alex smiled and gave a helpless shrug, as if he couldn’t say no. “Sure, just hold still for a sec. Busted my lighter.”
He phished a cigarette out of his shirt pocket and put it between his lips before leaning in to press the ends together as he gave a few quick inhales to get his own lit.

“I know it is,” he rubbed the back of his neck, glancing to the side as he felt a pang of guilt. “...It’s nothing though. I was going to see Ibe, but he wasn’t there.” He hadn’t seen the man since this had all started and after last night’s dream, something had told him to go see him.

Eiji closes his eyes shut, his arms reach around Ash gently to not hurt him. He breathes Ash in, focusing on all the signs of life that attest to Ash’s existence. He’s here with Eiji, and that’s what matters.
