"I have no recollection of this purchase..." Adem said slowly as he stared at the sofa sitting in his living room now. Sofa.

âPrey?â, Phileas echoed, his heartbeat picking up once more. Prey - prey was a word used to describe the subject of a hunt, of a living being running from a predator who sought to catch and kill it for consumption. Right here, amidst the ruins of the ancient temple of Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt, the word rang even more heavily in his ears. Even though Adem had explicitly stated that he was not prey⊠somehow Phileas could not help the feeling that this had not always been the case. His frown deepened, the hold of his arms tightening around himself in both a display of defiance and an attempt to feel safe.
âSo what do you want from me now? Why will you not let me go get dressed and be by myself?â
Ademâs lips parted only slightly before they pressed back together in a firm line. So, he did admit that it probably wasnât the smartest idea to sit around and poke at Hassanâs tall pet. The guy was clearly still freaked out and hanging up on the past like some flailing human when he had to take his sisterâs call right before the main course. They just couldnât accept change, huh. Wasnât that the whole basis of life? Evolution was change! It was--
This tall, weird guy that was still looking at him.
The young man pouted slightly, a ridiculous expression given all his actions leading up to it. âIâm still curious but I donât want to upset Hassan so you have to invite me in if Iâm going to talk to you.â He answered.
Awww man, now I want Adem drama đ come back @okaioarpaktiko ! I miss you! đđđ

THE second couldnât help but gulp at those words â the confidence and mystery the other exuded was something Alex Salazar could only dream of having. He wasnât sure if this guy was within his league â or if he was within his â but here he was, a little bit drunk, a little bit hopelessly attracted, and he was already digging his own grave. And he was going to damn well lie in it.Â
Well, he thinks, at least this isnât such a bad way to go.Â
âI donât like seeing lonely handsome boys, soâŠâ he said, sitting himself beside the man. âAlex,â he introduced, âAnd you?â
âArenât you a philanthropist?â He mused.
Reaching out, he took Alexâs hand in his to bring it up to his lips and just barely ghost them over his knuckles. More warm breath than skin teasing the needy human before him. As he released his hand, Ademâs Jaeger-LeCoultre Perpetual watch glinted in the soft bar light.
âAdem. Is yours short for Alexander, perhaps? Or just Alex?â He asked as he lifted his drink back to his lips.
purgatoryoâ
A medium sized glass of brandy was suddenly pushed towards Alex, and it looked rich â expensive. He raised an eyebrow at the bartender about to tell him he didnât order this â he canât afford it â until the bartender himself said: âNo, itâs from that gentleman right there.âÂ
Alex blinked again before turning to the same handsome stranger in question. Just in time even to catch that wink from him and that look that he hoped to be genuine interest. He took the brandy and took a sip or three, gathering what liquid courage he can before walking up to the handsome stranger.Â
All just to be able to lean by the otherside of the bar and ask him : â YouâŠyou alone tonight?â
Adem allowed himself to openly inspect the goods that were very clearly being offered to him. What a cheap price for a pretty little ass. When the stranger spoke, he made sure to take a slow sip to let the question linger between the two of them.
âThat,â He began with the slightest of promising smiles. âIs entirely up to you.â
@technicallydeceasedcallenreese
âAnd who are you? I didnât think I ordered dessert.â Adem greeted as he opened the door, looking over the very beautiful blond treat in front of him.
@lynxclaws
"Iâm glad you admire my watch, but you could never pull it off with that outfit, kid.â Adem said, his cool features pulling into a slight smirk at the three young hoods that had cornered  him in an alley. His eyes drifted to the approaching figure, deciding to play this innocently rather than with a firm hand. Too many people, anyhow.
purgatoryoâ:
TAKING another swig of his drink, Alex tilted his head at the stranger that sat at the other end of the bar â studying him. Trying to figure out whether heâs seen that face before, or, better yet, whether heâs hit on him in the bygone past. He took another sip, slammed the bottle onto the table, and decided: he was just going to stare at this handsome stranger across the bar until he looks back at him. If he comes closer, then he was interested; if he didnât, then Alex had definitely hit on him before @okaioarpaktiko
There was no way that Alex could have recognized his face. He wasnât often in New York, for one, and his face was tragically forgettable, despite how incredibly handsome he was.Â
Adem was incredibly amused by this considerably drunk approach to flirting. Really, it was almost rude if the man at the end of the bar wasnât so attractive. He definitely had a lovely form and the slutty desperation that Adem was fond of using up. With a few words to the bartender, a much more expensive drink was set in front of Alex with a wink from Adem, who now returned his gaze with open amusement.

He grinned and leaned in a little closer, his finger trailing along the rim of his glass, his eyes glowing for a moment. âYou smell very good, whatever you are. Familiar somehow.â
Well, fuck me on a Mercedes.
Adem made a deep noise of interest at that comment. âNow, what exactly is familiar to you? Because Iâd have to say I have a few guesses now.âÂ

Gupta. Phileas had heard that name before, and if he thought back long enough there may have even been the splinter of a memory of meeting a man like that. Hassan had spoken of him before. Not much, and not for long, but still enough for Phileas to know that Adem was not lying. About him being Hassanâs brother, at least. And about knowing Hassan even before they had clashed so uncomfortably last time. It seemed as if Hassan did not care much for mercy, even when his own family was involved.
âSo..â The pillar boy frowned, unsure of what to do with this new information.Â
âYou say that.. because Hassan is part of your family, and he told you to leave me alone⊠you will not hurt me. Is that right?â
Adem crossed his arms over his chest. Really, this shouldnât be so hard to understand. It was a simple fucking concept. Family stood by family, even if the other family was a little heavy handed and never wanted anything to do with the family. Itâs just how it was.
âHassan told me not to touch you, so I wonât do that. Heâs family and youâre his so I wonât hurt you, even if he didnât tell me not to. So yeah, Iâm not going to hurt you or anything. Youâre not prey so you donât have to worry so much about it.â He confirmed.

Ciar raised an eyebrow innocently. âAnd what am I supposed to be showing you?â
âSince I donât know what you are, thatâll be a fun surprise. Iâll leave that up to you. Maybe if I like it, Iâll show you something extra nice.â He said smoothly.
bastardantichristâ
âTheyâre amusing, for a short time. Now Iâm very bored.â Ciar ran a hand through his hair. âAdem Rouvas.â Why did that sound vaguely familiar. âNow iâm looking for new entertainment.â
âIf youâre looking for entertainment, how about you show me yours and I show you mine? Unlike them, I donât feel the need to chit chat.â Adem smirked slightly.
bastardantichristâ
âWell, youâve said it.â Ciar leaned one elbow on the bar, admiring Adem through half lidded eyes. âAnd youâve certainly caught my attention.â He held out his hand to shake. âCiarâŠand you are?â
âAdem Rouvas.â He replied as he took his hand, applying purposeful pressure for a brief moment before letting go to retrieve his drink. âYou seemed bored over there. Not your usual type, are they?â
bastardantichristâ
Ciar was surprised when drinks arrived and took his, checking it, then looked at the handsome man, catching a hint of his scent.Oh. He raised his glass in return and took a drink, draining it, then politely excusing himself from the group to walk over.
âThank you for the drink.â He said, getting another scent of him. Hmm, spicy.
Bingo.
Adem leaned back against the bar, both amused and pleased by the outcome as his eyes very openly traveled over the stranger. âJust thought Iâd catch your attention and say hello.â Adem smirked, the expression only barely interrupting his almost neutral face.
bastardantichristâ
Ciar was hanging out with acquaintances. None of them could rightly be called friends, but he saw them whenever he was in town, and they were good for a few drinks. But he was starting to get bored with them, his eyes roving the bar for someone new to talk to, to seduce.
Really anything to stave off the boredom and anxiousness he felt for no apparent reason.
Waving the bartender over, Adem ordered a new round of drinks for the part of the group that the smell was most likely coming from. When they were delivered, he kept a keen eye on all of their reactions, not hiding that it was him that had provided such gifts. Even the humans could appreciate a handsome man in a fine suit buying their drinks. Raising his drink, he gave an inviting smile.
âYou keep bringing this âillegalâ thing up as if it means something to me.â

Phileas wanted to keep on walking, but the otherâs voice chimed up again behind him, feeling as though he was tugging on a leash that would not let him go where he wanted. Reluctant, the pillar boy turned around again. He did not want to appear rude, especially because he would not risk angering the other.
âWhy do you call Hassan âuncleâ?â
Hassan had never once mentioned that either he or his brother had any other relatives or offsprings to name, and even then Phileas did not understand why Adem would consider him family. Protesting the claim, however, would mean to question the protective spell the word seemed to hold over him.
Well, that was a dumb question.
He threw his hands up as he turned back to look at Phileas. âBecause Gupta is my uncle and heâs Hassanâs brother, that makes him an uncle as well. Iâve known him since I was born.â Adem explained, not finding such a reply to be lacking in the least.Â
