so.......... ROs reaction to an MC who keeps stealing their clothes, it's our wardrobe now 🛠

bold of you to assume shaw isn't already doing this. whats yours is his, and what's his is actually very expensive so he doesn't mind you wearing it but be careful, please. also that's not how you're meant to wear it, it's not hanging right, let him sort it out. this doesnt even go with those shoes but he's got something that'll suit you better, hold on. try this. where would you be without him? (doesn't mind at all, assumes reciprocity. will complain if you buy clothes you like for yourself in a colour he doesn't like. will make unsolicited suggestions about what you can borrow from his wardrobe for events.)

amari: i was going to say I'm not sure she'd notice, but actually I think she'd get weirdly emotional about the domesticity of it,? like, the first few times she's probably a bit hrng!! about someone looking through her stuff, cue a lengthy internal conversation about why she's not more annoyed, then she's like oh. once the initial crisis is over, she'd find it v cute. already wears a lot of oversized hoodies and flannels but you might notice spares in different sizes appearing in the wardrobe at some point, especially if you're significantly taller than her. definitely takes it as permission to borrow mc's clothes in return, and does so with great enthusiasm.

levi: probably finds it funny. gentle teasing about your own clothes suddenly going missing and if you need help looking for them he's willing to assist. does not mind one bit. will probably mentally designate clothes 'yours' once you've worn them a few times and takes extra care not to get them torn up or bled on. probably wouldn't borrow mc's clothes in exchange, though.

eva: a bit confused at first? it's not like she really has clothes she considers worth borrowing, and it probably takes a while for her to clue in that its not about the clothes themselves. once that hits she's like oh I see (still doesn't really see) and will start offering her wardrobe if you need it. can't quite bring herself to do so without an excuse, but if you come over and it's been raining and your clothes are wet, or you've been working or you spend the night, she'll basically fling her wardrobe open ala the devil wears prada except instead of a huge walk-in closet its a single cupboard full of dark- and neutral-toned t-shirts. if you offer her your clothes, she'll have a minor anyeurism - would never wear them in public, that's too intimate, but could be persuaded if you're at home.

hiii, I've got a little question about the Watcher's gender. I know you've mentioned how gender works in their society, but now that they're stuck with humans, would they feel compelled to select a set of pronouns so people can address them? Or just default to they/them and trying not to think much about human labels? Same goes with gender, pronouns aside.

It might be also all left to headcanon but I wanted to ask in case it came up on the story later on! Thank you so much for sharing your story... I love it sm

Hey! 💕 Thank you for the question! I've actually been meaning to talk about this, but I haven't gotten around to it lol.

The main reason that a pronoun choice isn't included as of now is pretty much just a technical one- because of the unique circumstances in the game, nobody really refers to them anyway, and implementing functional pronoun choices is kinda annoying. There's really no point in doing it if it's never going to be used. At some point, especially in the third act, that might change and I might take the time to put that in- or I might not! You'll need to ask future me (and he's famously unresponsive).

As for in-universe, it is mostly up to headcanon! We know of at least one individual in the same general situation as you who goes by he/him, so it's definitely not a out of the question that they would choose a set and go with it. And the reason for that choice, whether it's purely practical or because of identification or something else entirely, is not going to be analyzed in the game (afaik, future me might have other plans). Feel free to come up with that yourself!

Crux - Villains or Heroes?

This is a little vague; like, in my story or in general? Lol! Anyway, I like heroes but the truth is I prefer characters who can’t be categorized into one or the other; it’s everyone around them who decides whether they’re “good” or “evil”. How do other people perceive your character? It all depends on the actions they take and how society views them, etc. These are kind of disjointed thoughts, but that’s the answer I’m going with!

Oh boy I think it’s like a few things like:

Stay one step ahead

Come across as weird and slightly offputting but we have boundaries for a reason because humans are feeble minded and far too easily scared

I don’t start fights but I will finish them (This can be a bit loosey goosey) 

Don’t cause too much trouble, for me(and uh mom and livvy because if I cause problems for them it’s a problem for me not cause im actually affectionate towards them kind of)

(Generally) Don’t be a dick, (Because it’s not worth the hassle and humans are petty and pointless and people can come in useful)

29 do they flirt often?

Not really tbh?

Scout tbh for quite a lot of their time in the Casket hasn’t seen the point of that stuff. It’s not terrible but eh seems a lot more effort than they’re willing to expend a lot of the time.  Like there’s been a few ‘I made out during highschool at a party’ moments but Scout didn’t get much out of it at all.

They also get flustered easily which makes flirting easier, their Casket is apparently very prone to blushing which is just... annoying.

I mean though, when Roach enters the picture things change a little cause it’s like ‘Oh ok now I get it, this is actually fun and stuff’
