I get really uncomfortable when people make fun of my daughter's name. White people, please don't mock names because you assume they're "made up". Hindu names such as Latha have been used for centuries, they're no more or less "made up" than your ethnicities' names, and honestly it comes across as really racist. Linguistic imperialism isn't a form of racism that gets discussed much and I don't expect everyone to know the ins and outs of sociology but I do expect people not to be assholes. While we're all discussing how to make the kin community more accepting: punch Nazis, yes, but also stop your own casual racist behavior. I don't even know if there are any other Technobabylon kin out there but if I see even one person deadname or misgender Detective Lao you'll all have to catch these hands. Canonical trans women are rare enough as it is but also, she was a great person, a good friend and if you liked her in the game up until the reveal, you're a transphobe.
