Is technology taking over too much?

So, what is your first impression after seeing this? Because I, for one, I’m not quite comfortable.
Some might say I’m exaggerating, fair enough, but please counteract my arguments. The Tshirt OS seems quite harmless and I admit it’s a kind of cool idea. But why would I choose to wear electronic chips hidden in cotton? And while wearing this might put me on the 8 o’clock news, do I really not have a life without technology? In the current world where everything we do is tweeted, facebooked, pinterested, googled, and so on - without us realising how we just put our lives and details for everyone to use, quite dangerous, don’t you think? - why would I need to be a walking iOS device? You see, as all people in Gen Y I’ve joined the bandwagon of social media, but I try to keep its effect to a minimum as I still want to feel alive physically rather than virtually.
We check people on facebook and see how happy they are and where they’ve been this summer, but they’re the sad ones if they actually need an approval of their happiness. We should really get out there and live more! And I’ve only just come to realise this myself.
Anyway, the second video scares the hell out of me! And it was imagined by two students, Eran May-raz and Daniel Lazo.

The fact that his life and apartment is physically empty and all his experiences: running, visiting places, getting dressed are virtual is terribly sad. Moving on to how he just knows every single thing about that girl and he can just reprogramme her is terrifying! The thought of so much power being in the hands of so few seems ludicrous now, but I would not want to live to see it.
Oh, wait! A friend of mine pointed out that they're working on it right now, or at least a step in that direct is Project Glass from Google.
