POne of the largest technology conferences in Africa, Techlus recently held at Eko Hotel Conference and Exhibition Centre. The three-day event had a good number of notable individuals and organisations who are doing great things using technology and Skool Media’s Project Director, Moses Imayi was not left out.

Funding a smart school project is daunting. Here are five tips Imayi gave on sourcing for finance:
THE GOVERNMENT: This should be a no-brainer; nevertheless, the government cannot be relied solely upon for financing a smart school project.
TAX SWAP: This option provides a win-win situation for large organisations that are willing to fund smart school projects in exchange of tax payment to the government. Everybody wins, everybody is happy!
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Big organisations are always on the lookout for worthy projects to fund as a way of giving back to the society. The smart school
COST SHARING WITH PARENTS: It is no doubt that technology is expensive. Despite this fact, parents can assist in bearing the cost of a smart school project instead of leaving the responsibility solely on the government.
GRANTS: Ford foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates and Wise Initiative are very good finance options sourced from across the world.
