I had a nightmare last night.

            it wasn’t often that he and his brother spoke anymore, especially since the death of their father. kylo wasn’t sure if matt had been angry with him for what he’d done, but he’d thought the reason was JUST. he wanted to stop the pain, the call to the light, and he thought killing HAN SOLO would do that. oh, how WRONG he’d been. he’d never admit it, but he’d had nightmares too, ever since he’d slaughtered his father in cold blood. he couldn’t stop seeing his face, over and over, every time he closed his eyes. and what made it worse? his father had forgiven him, right before kylo shoved his body off of the bridge and into the heart of a dying planet. somber brown eyes met those of his twin brother. there was no mask to hide his emotions now. as he stood in front of matt, he could feel desperation digging its claws into him and threating to pull him down into its dark depths.

           ❝ was it him? ❞ normally the waver in his voice would frustrate him, but now, he almost didn’t even seem to notice.

Kylo looked over his brother in concern, he knew that Matt was upset about the wedding but not because of the wedding at the same time. They had always been close and were closer than most people to deem acceptable but that never mattered to Kylo. He loved his brother more than anything. “Matt, do you not want me to marry him?”
