Have you seen Alphaville? The AI is kind of a mix between AM and Colossus except he came before them.

I’ve checked it out once before! I didn’t get very far into the film because I was busy and never got around to picking it back up

I have a difficult time sticking with French Noirs, but I’ve heard a few different people recommend it so maybe I’ll give it another try ?

⋆⭒˚｡⋆Thoughts: Very nostalgic and fun, would’ve been a classic if I saw it when I was little. The pacing is a little strange and makes the film feel small in retrospect, but nevertheless entertaining. The main villain being a robot bowler hat is just the cherry on top.

⋆⭒˚｡⋆Thoughts: I’ve never seen a film portray derealization more accurately almost too accurately because it’s confusing as fuck… It is one serious, overstimulating, tragic stress fest. I still don’t fully understand the ending, or whatever the hell was going on throughout the rest of it, but it was cool!

⋆⭒˚｡⋆Thoughts: LOVE the premise, I really wish there were more things like it. Easily leads you to feeling depressed, to hyped, to depressed again. First time in a while that I’ve seen a film that doesn’t have a happy ending, which was honestly a bit refreshing. Wonderful, give me more toxic codependency between a dude and the computer inside him.

⋆⭒˚｡⋆Thoughts: Lingo is like if Edgar from electric dreams cared less about romance and more about world domination. It’s humorous, you easily get attached to the characters, and I ultimately sobbed at the ending. This book is criminally underrated and Jim Menick deserves way more recognition for his work!!

⋆⭒˚｡⋆Thoughts: It’s a rough adaptation of The Adolescence of P-1, but the plots are so estranged you wouldn’t guess. It is VERY similar to war games but I honestly prefer it over the ladder. The dynamic between Gregory and P-1 is cute, I think the film would’ve greatly benefited from a longer run time.

Fun fact this film is how I discovered the commodore 8032.. So I might be a little biased

⋆⭒˚｡⋆Thoughts: The main cast is very charming and the show has a fun, lighthearted feel to it. Character dynamics are fleshed out nicely and the banter always leaves you craving more. It’s got a good mix between silly and serious, but overtime it gets easy to notice patterns and repetition in its writing.

there’s always a single, young woman who Michael has to save in one way or another..
