A few weeks ago, Larry Krasner was elected as district attorney for the city of Philadelphia. One of his main proposals is centered around bail reform, and since his election more people have been talking about the ways the system should change. This week, News and Culture spoke to Ted Callon, co-founder of the Philadelphia Bail Fund, about the bail system in the US and the ways in which people have been organizing to advocate for change.
