I see you, my friend. I didn't know what kind of bullying you wanted, so I chose a mix since he had 2 "friends" who acted like this. I couldn't find their names anywhere in the fandom or elsewhere, so I gave them names. I hope you enjoyed this! Please continue requesting, liking, commenting, and reposting. It makes me feel like actually posting!
Teddy, your wonderful boyfriend Teddy. You knew Teddy in a different way than his so-called "friends". They were turning him into a boy you didn't know, stealing, acting all tough, even running away from the cops. That was never something he would do; Teddy had empathy and a deep sense of guilt. Those 'friends' of his that would sell him out for not even $20 were taking the boy you loved and mixing him up. Which all led to a December day, it was chilly like it always was. Christmas was approaching, another year with Teddy, another year wondering if it was really the same boy you fell in love with.
Walking out of your lunch, the bell was ringing obnoxiously loud as normal. Lunch was spent indoors instead of the nice renovated courtyard, a shame really, but you left lunch with a small smile on your lips. A study hall that was a shared period with your boyfriend, which was not shared with his friends. Goodness, those boys were so disruptive during class that you felt terrible for the teacher.
Teddy was always the last one in the classroom, hiding in the bathroom, talking to his friends, making sure to walk in right as the bell was ringing. He never even worked on his homework; he was at your side the moment that bell rang until the bell rang again for the last hour of the day. As soon as you entered the classroom, you began working on your homework before the remaining two minutes of the passing period were up. Then your boyfriend would set his stuff down on a desk a few rows in front of you before dragging his chair back to sit close to you. Like he always did, it was a set-in-stone routine.
It was cute how he acted so tough with his friends and then would come into this class, attaching himself to you by the hip. His leg touching yours needed some type of physical contact. It was adorable. What swallowed your thoughts was the sound of a chair dragging across the floor towards you. The passing period bell must have rung, huh. A small mumble of annoyance from the boy next to you, he threw the chair, practically jumping into it after. Poor boy, ever since he changed lunch period, he had been more irritable. You didn't blame him for that; he was touch-starved since his father had died. A small mumble, "Missed you," if you were lost in your thoughts, you would have never heard those words.
You let a small laugh leave your lips before nodding, a silent agreement of missing him, too. Before working on some English, which consisted of starting an essay that was due in a week or so. Teddy just jumped onto his phone, watching a YouTube video about cars. What a nerd. Time always flew by in 6ᵗʰ hour, his video going into depth about a 2014 Dodge Charger in the shade, Cherry Red. You did have to admit it did look like a nice car. The bell rang to Teddy's loud annoyance, which he felt the need to voice every day. The silence was nice. You and Teddy never needed to talk all the time to show affection; the quiet moments shared always fueled your love more.
Teddy walked you to your 7ᵗʰ hour, carrying your abundance of books for your classes. All while he teased you for being a smarty-pants, taking all AP or honors classes. "What is with all the books? We have computer PDF's now. They do know that?" He spoke as he walked you to one of your science classes, Honors Human Anatomy and Physiology. You just shrugged at his words, "I mean, Mrs. Smith is old-fashioned." His green eyes shot you a glare, "That's because she is millions of years old, seriosuly when is she retiring!" Gasping, you hit his shoulder, "Be nice! Still so salty from freshman year." A small giggle left your lips before you made it to 305; Teddy was only a few doors before 308. Walking into the room for your class before setting your stuff down on your assigned seat's desk. That lovesick dork knew all your seats in classes, sometimes leaving small tokens of affection there. And he called you a dork! You touched his hand gently as he personally handed your binder for the class back to you. A small smile on your lips before you squeezed his hand, he did so back before leaving the classroom. The passing period bell rang, your thoughts drifted to the material being taught, the different tissues; Monday was a microscope and sketch day. Fridays always felt so long to you. It was probably because of the weekend awaiting you.
After the bell rang, it was over. One girl ran out of the classroom, causing a laugh. She really hated school. "See you Monday, Emma!" You shouted after her; she looked back and smiled before turning the corner. Wandering to your locker, you got your bookbag and shoved only a folder and your Chromebook in there, throwing everything else into your locker. Putting on your thick winter coat with a slight bit of struggling, you walk down the stairs to the bottom floor. Why did the school only have doors out on the bottom floor? The meeting spot was towards the back, where Teddy would walk with you. You made your way there, walking past the hordes of students running to their cars to make it out quickly. The brickwall of the school turned from polished to a murky color as you made it to the meeting spot. Normally, your amazing boyfriend was already there, but he wasn't today; he was maybe just running late. Suddenly, you heard his friends, or whatever they were to him. Being the kind person you were, you were always civil to them. Not nice, but not mean, Teddy still never left you alone with them.
One was yelling while you set your bookbag on the concrete you were standing on; it was uncomfortable to have on with your coat. The snow around you was melting. One of them spotted you, his eyes going wide for just a moment before whispering. Whatever he said, you didn't listen or pay attention. Ignore it. Teddy will be here soon; just ignore them. You weren't scared, but still you were alone, and there were two of them and one of you. One of them called for you by name. They knew your name? Turning around to face them, your head tilted a bit, waiting for them to say something else. It was the weird mullet one. He stepped closer, you stepped back. This went on for a while before you back hit the brick wall, and you were a few feet away from your backpack.
Cornered by that stupid one; both were stupid, of course, but this one had no common sense. He smelled like hair gel and faint smoke. The gel was from his unusual, slicked-back hairstyle. Thank goodness Teddy would never do that to his hair or to you. A crooked smirk passed his lips. Where was Teddy at? He always walked you home. He was never late, maybe he had forgotten something? You had to worry about yourself for right now. For some reason, this ugly freak of a man backed you into a wall.
You weren't stupid; you knew you couldn't take them in a fight. You couldn't even take Teddy in a fight when you both were play-fighting, and these two were stronger than him, especially together. While in your thoughts, you felt your eyesight decline, and your glasses had been grabbed. Fear started to set in. You were alone. Detrimentally alone, around the back of the school. No one would hear you. If only James didn't know that. If only he could be stupid in the one thing you needed him to be. He got closer. Passing your black frames away to Noah, who had newly gotten a buzz-cut. This was almost as scary as their hair. Noah laughed, a disgusting sound that would haunt your dreams.
Chalk on a chalkboard was not even comparable to the sound that scratched your ears. Noah's voice decided to assault your ears by speaking; his fake rasp almost had you stifling a laugh. "Teddy dating you is a crime. Honestly, these...' lifting what you assume are your glasses and putting them on his big head '...make you look so stupid. He is probably only with you for something. What do you do? His math homework? Or write his essays?" His smile turned into something you could see even without your glasses. It was a type of smile that would make a dog start barking and make an old lady shut her door and lock it; a hot, heated whisper, "Or are you just that good at getting his dick wet?" What the hell. No, no, this cannot be happening. You and Teddy have never, and even if so, would he ever tell his friends? No. No. This was something they made up in their sick and twisted imagination.
A tingle erupted as the feeling of the hot breath of James hit your neck; it sent a chill down your body. Your heart was slowly dropping past your knees into the floor that you hoped would swallow you whole. A whisper came from the light brown-haired boy, "You know I think Teddy would be missing out if he didn't already take ya, I mean, look at you. You're pathetic. I think maybe I should do the honours as his friend." Vomit. You felt that feeling of nausea in the back of your throat, the taste forming the second his words left his thoughts. Noah got closer; you could see him more clearly. A snear that could only be described as eerie was plastered on his face, like he had won some type of prize.
Your ears were ringing, planning on what to say, what to do, as your best chance to escape. A loud sound that must have been skin making contact with something broke you out of it. James was doubled over, away from you. When did he leave your personal space? Noah had backed up as well, already running off. What a wimp, no wonder he always was in the back of the car whenever they stole one. Making out a small glimpse of your glasses that they dropped before hearing a small voice near James, "I made it very clear that she was my girlfriend, again, back off." Teddy? When had he shown up?
Those questions had been short-lived as your brunette boyfriend showed up in view, putting on your glasses for you. His handsome face becomes clear with the help of your glasses. What even happened? He just pulled you into a bear hug, his body against yours. It was more comforting than words could be in that moment. You started spitting words that had zero connection. What were you even trying to say? "Shhh, don't worry about it. Let's just get you home." You could feel the guilt just radiating off of Teddy, blaming himself. He picked up your bookbag and led you as you both walked to your house. One of his hands was on the small of your back, not touching, just hovering. His other hand was tightly fisted at his side. Maybe it was not all guilt; it was more anger. At his friends and at himself. He left you alone for a minute, trusting his friends for a minute. That never would have happend and he never wanted to press, but he wanted to know what they said. But he would wait for you; he would always wait for you. You were the love of his life, and he would wait until you wanted to talk, even if it took a few hours or a year. But now he had to deal with having to watch Katie since his mom had to work. Only a week before Christmas, and his mom wouldn't even take off Christmas Eve. Whatever, he just wished he could be with you for a while before he had to watch his sister.
I apologize for posting this so late. Honestly, this prompt stumped me because I didn't want to get it wrong and needed the perfect idea! I hope this does it justice after the long wait. I have a few different people I want to post for, but I will mainly write for Teddy. I have been curbed stomped by writer's block, but hopefully this longer one fuels you guys til the next one. Thanks for reading!! The ending was kinda rushed, my bad.
