This had been the second time the lap dog found himself searching for the healer, yet this time felt more important, more urgent; as he weaved in and out of the bearorian castle halls. He still didnāt know the floor plan of this place very well, as the castle wasnāt his home and yet a castle was a castle and heād managed to find himself knocking on a room heād been told Theodore was staying in. Aurelius didnāt have many friends (although becoming his friend was an easy thing to be fair), he didnāt have really much of anyone in his life (beyond the royal family he tended to) that he allowed himself to actively worry over, yet the healer had almost instantly became one of those rare people that the lap dog allowed into his life without much protest. As he awaits for the door to open he finds himself perhaps wishing heād found the younger man earlier when everyone first showed up, mostly so he could have seen him with his own eyes sooner; finding it hard to believe that he was even still alive. That one so seemingly soft as Theodore could have persisted when Ironhaven attacked. Aurelius had been busy of course, he hadnāt lied to the healer when he told him he pushed himself into his work, all the same he just wanted to push himself into settling his mind now and could no longer wait.Ā When the door creaks open he canāt help but look downwards to the shorter man, as if heās looking at a ghost he half wasnāt expecting to see. He gives way to the loudest of relieved sighs, his tired eyes squint slightly when he allows a bright smiles to creep upon his lips.Ā āI...I prayed you survived, you...got my letter I hope?ā Itās a sentence uttered out that sounds to be a mixture of both happiness and sadness all intertwined, he isnāt sure what he feels, but he does know he indeed feels something as his heart continues to pound in his chest, he had just been so worried; that much he is aware of.Ā āI, um know I didnāt sign it but... it wasnāt safe to, may...may I come in?ā

Aurelius had felt so embarrassed to be honest, upon wake up after having the most terrible of dreams, (or were they memories?) he found himself realizing that he may perhaps need to be looked at by someone. The fight the previous night had left him a bit worse for the wear and not wishing to trouble his friend anymore than heād felt like he already had; he decided to seek out a healer. He had never been much of a fighter, to his fathers displeasure and he wonders nowĀ of all times, if he should have pushed himself more to be like the man; if only to save himself the embarrassment of these injury's at his age. The lap dogs had a few bruises and an aching knee that he wanted to grit his teeth at with every other step, he wouldnāt falter in said steps though, atleast as best as he could try; he would endure it. He felt so weak, so stupid, it had been quite sometime since heād gotten into a fight and to be honest it stirred up so much in him that he had thought heād left behind when his father died. He didnāt leave any of it behind of course, like everything he buried it deep enough down that he didnāt have to deal with it again until the dirt decided to erode away from all the rain. Rain being a metaphor for the little things over time, except this fight had been more like a downpour. āIām sorry to bother you...but I was told you might have time to look at my injuries?ā The lap dog squeaks out, finally approaching (with a bit of a limp now) who heād been asking around about. He didnāt think heād been hurt too seriously but it was better safe than sorry as heād ended up taking the brunt of the fights damage. He shudders to think what might of happened had his friend not came along to essentially help save him, as if he was some damsel in distress. If anyone else he knew from Ironhaven heard tale of this he would surely be more of a laughing stock than he already was. To be fair though he had been apprehensive at first and failed to fight them initially.Ā āI...I can go if your too busy.āĀ

Aurelius had never had never had someone to really give gifts to, beyond perhaps his mother. He recalls giving the occasional gifts to his handful of friends in his youth but that had also been about it. Heād wanted to give his princes gifts on occasion, though heād never gotten the nerve to do such, besides what could he get royalty that they didnāt already have? Yet he could get Theodore something, this he is sure of. Honestly, heās sure he could get the healer anything and the young man would cherish it all the same, heād been rather sweet like that. @teddybentā
The thing was, he didnāt know where to start with something, what to get someone who by all means was simply happy just making others happy. Theodore was the type of person to fret over others, much like Aurelius before even thinking of himself; they had that very much in common. They had a lot in common, Aurelius thinks, despite the age gap. He thinks thatās more telling of himself than it is Theodore, he tries not to think of it though, mostly because heād helped take care of his youngest prince who had been barely younger than the healer and heād always been rather parental towards both princes really. So it was rather an odd feeling to well have feelings for Theodore, he canāt deny that he does of course and he doesnāt really try.Ā Gods what a mess this all was, dangerous even to love another man, he should be more concerned with that rather than the age difference. Aurelius thinks it worth the risk though, thinks that the softness of the others lips and the tenderness in his touch was enough to make him see that. Heād finally found something though, among a pile of books, it seemed to be rather thick and sturdy and heās more curious why itās such an odd looking book more than anything; he only realizes how perfect thisĀ ābookā is though once he spots the latches on the side and opens it up. On further investigation itās anĀ apothecary case, just his luck! Well to be fair his luck had almost always been awful, today though, today his luck had been so grand! He canāt help but think about how it reminded him of Theodore in a way, he thinks that the healer (despiteĀ his kind nature) is the sturdiest kind of man, you have to be, he thinks; to be kind in a world so bleak. He has so much to offer and holds it all inside him, of course everything he holds inside of him is just the will to help others. Aurelius really respected him, more than that he cherished him just as he was sure the other would this gift.
ā„ - ⦠- ā - āŖ - ⤠(this is what u get for giving me emotions)
ā„ - Something they like about your muse. How good natured the healer is, he doesnāt act as if itās just his job to help people; he acts as if it is his passion as if he has to help people, not because of duty but because itās whats right. Itās really a breathtaking way of thought that the lap dog finds so rare in most people; mostly because he himself grew up in the harsh environment of Ironhaven. ⦠- Something they hate about your muse.um nothing, Aurelius wishes that Theodore wasnāt from Bearoria. He supposes thatās both selfish on his part and not really a thing to hate about a person but it would make an already complicated thing much less so. He hates that someone he finds himself wanting to care for hails from a place that his homeland has taken over, he selfishly wishes that theyād met back homeā¦but then again would Theodore manage to be so kind if they had? Ironhaven is a cruel place, still he canāt help but wish that Theodore was from there, he honestly hates himself for even thinking such a thing. ā - A reason theyāre jealous of your muse.He wishes he could find the nerve to say things as openly and as pure seeming as Theodore does, Aurelius isnāt generally regarded as a bad man by any means but he still thinks that the healer is a far better person than himself. āŖ - A secret theyāre keeping from your muse.Aurelius doesnāt want to admit that heās as loyal as he is to Ironhaven, he is afraid of what Theodore might think of him. Itās not that he believes in their cause but he does believe (or at least wants to believe) that there is good in the men he serves. If he admits to himself that there is no good, then he would only be left to feel as though heās wasted his life. But he wonders if he doesnāt admit that if he might waste his future too.⤠- What they thought about your muse when first meeting. He thought he was handsome admittedly, he also thought that everyone heād talked to had been right, that the man was a great healer and his injuryās had felt much better after being tended to by him. Aurelius also didnāt mind all the complements heād gotten upon first meeting him, though he hadnāt expected that he wasnāt going to complain.

10/10 so soft, so sweet, so cute. I mean how could you resist that boyish charm and innocent adoring gaze?
