Hi hello quick question

In the "Raze in a power suppression collar" scenario, what, if any, kind of effect would that have on its halo?

Totally unrelated, but Raze is quite fun to draw! Especially its hair, surprisingly, considering I don't usually like drawing hair. I've actually been thinking about copying its haircut

Ooh, good question! So, the hellaverse kinda established that halos can exist without a power source, or at least without their original power source (e.g. Lute keeping Adam’s halo) and Raze’s halo bracelets are heavily based off of that.

One of them isn’t even Raze’s halo; it’s Vickie’s. Both are cut off from their power source, because Raze’s fell off shortly after it Fell.

So, in theory, the power dampening collar shouldn’t actually do anything to them? Since they’re just items now; trophies. It’s like if somebody wore a necklace made out of their own baby teeth and teeth from their enemies, then got cursed to have all their teeth fall out. <- deranged sentence, but moving on: The tooth necklace would be fine because it was already out.

The shadow halo idea I played around with in the original ref sheet post (and might still keep? idk if it’s visually distinct enough from the normal Exorcist halos, or if it’d make sense to have the shadow halo and the halo bracelet) would definitely be locked, as would any demonic or angelic transformation.

What it would be more likely to affect is Raze’s “allergic reaction” to the halos. I’m just not sure if it’d get better (less demonic = less affected by angelic magic) or worse (loses the remnants of its Grace, the only thing allowing it to tollerate the halos). I think if a living human could touch an angel’s halo it’d burn. So that’s a point for the reaction getting worse.

If I really wanted to hammer home the angst, I’d make the halos start to burn any time Raze brushed up against them. Currently, it’s more like a minor nickel allergy, where it needs direct skin contact for an extended period of time; the collar would make it more like a hot stove (normally fun for Raze, but given the circumstances, Not Fun.)

Raze’s hair was actually my first real attempt at human hair, lol, so I’m glad someone else is enjoying it!

And yess its influence spreads into the real world once more! Shaving part of your head while still having long hair is very fun, can confirm. I do it regularly.

Honestly, so much of what I listen to is stuff I wish I could play loud. *Sigh* I was born to live in a house with thick walls, distant neighbors, and supportive roommates, but instead I’m doomed to quiet or noise complaints.

Picking one off the top of my head:

See, I feel like I have to go with the song I’ve known the longest that I’ll never get tired of.

And that would be Tomorrow, from Annie, just any version.

I love that musical so damn much and Tomorrow has got to be my favorite song from it. I was 9 or 10 the first time I heard it, and actually the context was that my sister and I were going to be preforming in an amateur rendition of Annie. My sister actually got to preform in another one, years later, as Annie! (We were both unnamed orphans in the first.)

I think my favorite version of Tomorrow is actually my sister’s, which I cannot share for obvious doxxing reasons, and because I’m not sure if she ever recorded it? Idk if the play was recorded when she played Annie. It was a school thing. But she still sings it sometimes. Just randomly. And I always stop what I’m doing to listen.

Hi! I have some questions about Mina. I'm definitely not sending this to avoid finishing another Mina fanart because the eyelashes are giving me trouble again

So first, does picking the name Mina have some meaning or reason for it?

In a lot of your art, the constellations are cut off, what are all of them? Do you have reasons for picking the specific constellations on her dress?

Since your art style is pretty simple, do you have ideas on what she'd look like more realistically? Like face shape, eye/nose/mouth shape, hair type/texture, etc

I think that's all. Oh, I'm also gonna reread Triangulum soon. I don't usually comment, though I'll try

OOH, YAY, I love talking about Mina~!

In order:

1) Mina's short for Willamina. Obviously it goes with William (Bill), but it's also apparently a town in Oregon, which I thought was a cute little bonus! No Cipher as a last name, though, that's strictly a Bill thing.

2) The constellations on Mina's dress are as followed: Triangulum (heehee), Triangulum Australe (HEEHEE), Gemini, Big Dipper, Libra, Virgo and I THINK Pisces above the waist (it has been a while and I semi-forgot). The ones on her sleeves are Leo and Little Dipper.

The first few may or may not have significance/symbolism in the story itself (I mean, the first two contain the name of the story), but at some point I just started sticking random ones on there to fill up space.

I believe one of my friends also suggested that they magically shift and move as if her dress were the night sky itself and while I'm not sure if I'm making that set-in-stone canon, I do LOVE the idea. But also if the constellations shift location at any point, I'm using that as an excuse. It's not me just being lazy, I swear.

3) I think she'd look similar to however you imagine Mabel to look like realistically, just as Bill would look similar to Dipper. There might be some differences across people's headcanons, but I think if you follow that simple rule, you'll have a realistic Mina that's true to form.

I do imagine her (and Bill) having pretty squishy little pre-puberty faces, though. Real pinchable cheeks. One of them hates this far more than the other does.

Also YAYAYAYAYAY, I look forward to seeing it when you do and reading your comments when you reread the fic itself~! Thank you for all the questions! c:
