tedvic shippers exist ?¿
IHAVE NOTHING TO POST ucan kill me for this later ok
This is an animation ispeedran in a day or smth
L.A.W. is kind of just not very good for multiple reasons. but this will forever be my fav Ted and Vic moment
tanking through artblock w them
give us some questle headcanons NOW.
OHHH MAN well here are some i've thought up thus far. i'm going to warn you that i admittedly know more about Ted than i do Vic since i've just read a lot more Ted focused stuff. so i apologize if the characterization feels off. nevertheless i hope they're to your liking anon..
- Ted is a lot more physically affectionate than Vic is. this doesn't mean Vic at all minds the affection though. Ted will do a lot of casually leaning on Vic or putting his arm around him and neither of them will really acknowledge it and just keep talking like normal. this happens before they get together too i think, with extra emphasis on neither of them really acknowledging it
- i said this in another post but Ted would 100% bug Vic into doing the upside down kiss from Spider-Man (2002) with him. he already has a habit of hanging upside down from stuff and he's too geeky not to.
- i feel like their relationship would be a long slowburn. both in terms of the feelings developing and the time it takes for them to actually get together... i think Vic had a sudden "oh. i am in love with him aren't i." moment where it just abruptly clicked in his head. probably after spending a long night trying to puzzle out wtf was going on in his own mind. while for Ted he can't really name a specific moment where he realized it; his feelings just grew until he couldn't Not notice it anymore.
- following that up, i like to think they both already had feelings for each other by the time the events of L.A.W. occurred, though hadn't realized it - Vic is one of very few people that Ted has confided in like that in any comic (and i can't recall any other time where he fully opened up about his feelings about Dans death like that), and i think the concern Vic shows him throughout the comic and the freakout he has when he thinks Ted is dead is notable. so please imagine Peacemaker having to deal with their romantic tension that they don't even seem to notice.
- you know how Ted calls Vic 'Q' (short for Question obviously). well after Vic finally reveals his secret identity to him i think Ted starts calling him V when they're hanging out as civilians together. i have no justification for this beyond i think it'd be cute
- Ted is consistently shown to be kind of obnoxiously flirtatious with people he's interested in/people he's dating. of course this does not stop with Vic, whether they're in their civilian or superhero identities. he is only spurred on when Vic tells him to knock it off while they're actively investigating something/fighting people lmao. he loves mildly annoying him
- this one is already pretty much canon but. although Ted and Vic do have a funnyman/straightman dynamic going on, Vic can easily match his humor and they riff off of each other very well. see: in Teds 1986 solo, like 5 minutes after they first met they already were literally finishing each others sentences
- Vic canonically will go days without sleeping just so he can do more superheroing. and while i think it's only mentioned maybe offhandedly once or twice i imagine Ted is very much the same way, both in regards to superheroing and his day job. they both try and convince the other to stop that, fully knowing they're being hypocritical. post-getting together once they are both too exhausted to function they'll just kind of pass out together at home. it's almost sweet
- i may have more fully fledged thoughts on this at a later date because i think it's a really funny concept but i really do not think Vic and Booster would get along and in questle world they basically have the relationship of in-laws having to keep the peace and be polite for the sake of the person they both love even though they cannot stand each other
Any questle thoughts lately
nothing especially interesting sorry but i keep thinking about how when Ted talks to Vic about Dan in L.A.W. that's literally one of the only two times i can remember Ted opening up like that about his feelings. and the other time was to Booster about being reminded of his own moms death when Max was in the hospital. and Vic said he didn't even know who Dan was but he just let Ted talk and was there for him. they make me crazy they really truly do.....
on a lighter note i keep fantasizing about Justice Riders au questle. i don't have any solid ideas in my mind so feel free to let your own imagination run wild. and if you haven't read Justice Riders already then you should it's amazing
okay so these are like just general victoire feelings because i have a lot of them and i just need to get them all out
i feel like a large part of who vic is is this like massive need that she feels to be perfect -- like its not really a pressure, because growing up how she did (completely alone, for the most part. like, there was teddy, but that was it for years and she doesn't really.....relate to too many of her cousins well. they get along fine, but no one really understands vic, not even teddy. and i feel like thats a large part of the issue with that relationship, too --- they will never, ever, under any circumstances, be able to fully comprehend one another) and surrounded by the people who she was (despite being relatively alone and misunderstood, the weasleys are largely supportive and very tight knit, but i dont think i really need to elaborate on this) it would have alleviated any ~*~*~societal~*~*~ pressure to be perfect -- its more of an internal thing, i think, something she can't simply get rid of and its just ingrained in her as a part of who she is. and i think that like, it almost sort of defines her, because she will do anything to be the best of the best and she will do anything to become what she perceives to be as perfect.
like, and this is why i put her in slytherin, as well, because like, she's ambitious, and she's not afraid to do anything. now for vic, this mostly just means being very controlling of every aspect of her life -- including her family/friends/those she cares about, because she just wants them to be the best they can be, mostly so that she can be the best she can be. everything she does, she does for a reason, and most of them are for the betterment of herself. it's very, very selfish, but she doesn't care. like, thats the thing, and i feel like that's where a lot of the frustration with victoire comes from, is that she just doesn't care. like, every sane human being knows that it's not possible to be "perfect", but victoire is the least sane of us all. and so like, theodore and dom and everyone tries to tell her that this isn't working and that you can't just be perfect, but she doesn't care. yes she can.
and that's just it, though -- she knows she can't, but she tries anyways. and so that causes a lot of internal conflict, that nobody knows about because she's victoire weasley and she's strong and she absolutely refuses to let anybody see her for who she truly is -- which is very, very, problematic. because shes not a bad person, she's just angry and upset and frustrated and she just wants so much -- she wants it all, and just think about how difficult that is, for like, two seconds. she will never, ever be able to achieve the thing she wants the very most. and she knows this, but she's going to try anyways. i think this is where a lot of her anger stems from, too, because she is, ultimately, a very angry person. because she needs to control everything and she needs to be perfect but then its not and it's never going to be and its just all so infuriating --
and like, a lot of this is just me spewing bullshit, but like im not even sorry ok. but like, i just feel like vic has a lot of internal issues, that she's never shared with anyone and she's most likely never going to share with anyone (which is very toxic to her mental health) because she feels like she can't. like, she's not allowed. and i feel like i don't really discuss this a lot and i didn't really go over it much in the last app i wrote for her, but whatever man this is me discussing it.
