16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
There is a particular category of fanfics of Hinny not getting back together immediately after the war and, like fun for the drama and all, I respect it. Buuuut as a headcanon I cannot accept it.
Ginny is his last thought. Thinking about her marrying someone else and being free to do so just absolutely ruins his day (mind you this man is preparing to kill Voldemort but THAT ruins his day). I do think they have things to work through, they both carry significant trauma but I imagine this is something they would work through together. As much as grief can pull people apart, it can also bring people together. In canon it shows they understand each other well, they're on the same wave-length, have a lot of shared experiences that no one else have and they're not scared of each other's emotions. I think this is something that they tackle together and ultimately makes them stronger as a couple
