drowning amidst mess of feathers, tulle & sparkles, christian followed the current of frantic dancers as they prepared, only five minutes until the start of their show. he should be warming up by now, hands stiff & begging to be cared for — but he's got a greater priority in mind. he knows, by now, satine must make her way through these very halls to get to her spot.
and as he watches her exit the elephant's doors, he's quick to grab her hand & steal her away, if only for mere seconds. she pulls her behind a rack of clothes, hoping the puff of skirts will make them go unnoticed. "i don't want to ruin your lipstick —" he leans down to press one, two, three kisses up her cheek. "have a lovely show, okay? now, go before i do ruin your lips."
