I'm coming to feel sorry for Donald Trump; though along with everything else I feel, not instead of it. Because of his father's wealth he grew up so isolated and insulated that he can't relate to people for lack of human experience. He's Teela Brown: he's biologically human but he's something other than human because of his luck. He thinks being a great businessman is gaming the system and profiting at being a bad businessman purposely, because he's never been at risk for the consequences of being a bad businessman. He's spent all his life getting anything he wanted by hook or by crook instead of having to exert any effort. Now he's finally gone after something he can't get that way. (Hopefully. Stay tuned.) And not only are his usual methods failing him suddenly at the last minute, the facts coming to light that those are his usual methods are actively why they're failing. He's the worst kind of elitist scum less by choice than because he never learned any other way. He's seventy years old and he's not getting his own way for the first time in his life, and he's never had a whit of experience that'd teach him to cope with that. He's as pitiable as he is reprehensible.
