A lovely shippy thing I commissioned from @luvthesestuff! Anime-style Saltzhane ( Faith Lehane/Alaric Saltzman ) and they did a fantastic job. Bit late for Valentines - my fault!

The Bridge || Ric & Faith
@allroundlostcause | continued
Faith's never been good with feelings, spent most of her life trying to use them as fuel so they don't so they don't escape and betray her stupid vulnerability. There's been no outlet for them. No comfort, nothing to reach for when things are just a little too hard. Then there was Ric and his kind eyes and dumb hair. T-shirts for bands he's probably never heard of. Would probably put chili flakes on his cereal if no one was watching.
Ric, who's comfort and excitement and peace. Who reaches out for her when things are hard because he knows she can't manage to reach out, herself. He's doing that, now. She watches his fingers weave and snake between hers and feels that swell, that lightheaded fuzziness she associates with his touch and when it really hits her, she turns him loose.
As if his very presence were dangerous, Faith's on her feet and away. The hair in her eyes gets a shove back and she pads, barefoot, to the window to keep him some distance between them. He’ll die here, she’s damn sure of it. Everybody dies here. She breathes deep and sighs out, "Look, it's not that it sucks to see you but,” forced, pained but as steady as she can make it, “You gotta get outta Sunnydale. Go home, Ric."

Children, Behave || Faith & Ric

Faith's bored, the girl in the Brandy braids who was catching her up on Xena fell asleep sometime in the last hour and now it's quieter than she can stand, save for the hum of activity going on in the office. It's almost six in the morning and she hasn't been home in days. Has waited hours, long and stupid hours, sitting on a pleather-covered cushion, cuffed to the bench leg like she might do something crazy. There's a woman kitty corner from her on the other side of the room clutching the handle, just the handle, of what used to be a knife with a crazy look in her eyes. Is that woman cuffed to the damn chair she's sitting in? No.
The place is packed tonight. Saturday morning, always packed. Abusers, users and losers. Just like last week. Faith's ass is killing her, and not in the fun way. She tries to shift around, stretch a leg but the way she's cuffed makes it hard. You rage-scratch one cop and suddenly you're a safety hazard.
The door in from the precinct hub rattles as the officer behind it turns the lock and everyone who's still awake sits up expectantly, hoping they’re next in line to be finally pushed through and processed. But it's not happening, not that Faith expected it to. There's just another kid in the system this morning. Rich kid, dumb haircut and a gorgeous mouth. Looks mad. Blissed, but mad. He's got a shiner, and it's a doozy. Being dragged, practically, by an angry cop and toss-sat in the only available seat which happens to be the one next to Faith and while he's being cuffed - oh, so it's hitting cops that gets you cuffed(?) - she smirks at him, puts a little bend in her brow and says to the officer, "Maybe you should use the nightstick?" Cue an eye-roll from the cop, an angry, 'Watch it, Lehane.' before he finds his way out of the hall and Faith shrugs at New Guy, "Guess he didn't get hugged enough as a kid or somethin'."
