Serious TW4: or "WTF, Peter??!!"

• Let's talk Big Bad Peter. His story arc is all over the map: at first his story was about revenge, and power. Then he dies, is resurrected, and weak as shit. Then he seems almost to be coming around as A Source of Knowledge. Then season 3 hits and he's all about power again, which, okay, but wtf is his endgame, and then season 4 he's besties with Kate Argent?? The woman that massacred his family and crippled him? I dunno about you but someone burns my house down, I'm gonna double-tap. Maybe even triple-tap them and carry their head around for a few victory laps, too. At the very least I'm gonna be sneaking into the morgue and checking to see that the body looks normal. You know, not with claws and with a closing throat slash. We're not gonna be teaming up and having cupcake parties in the sewer, though. And wtf do you even get having sewers that big and nobody's thought of using them before now? Are there sewers that big in *my* town? Or is it an American thing?? And everyone else never seems to go wtf Peter, you're bad but now neutral-Chaotic? With nobody on the team questioning that? Not even Chris? I don't know about anyone else but if someone ripped out my sister's throat I'm not going to be happy about it. Not to mention Scott or Lydia being okay with Peter being around. Stiles is the only one who seems to show any amount of concern and it's played off for laughs. Then later on when everyone who had a shred of common sense is yelling at the TV "WE TOLD YOU SO!!!!" Somehow our gang is Still Surprised. Meanwhile I'm shaking my head because ok, if Peter is so bad then why the fuck are you even talking to him, Scott??

Seriously TW 3:

• Speaking of bombshells you kill off a major character and give nobody, except Dead Aunt Kate and Chris himself, some screen time to deal with it. Scott, who was so obsessed with Allison, suddenly is made out to be ok and oooh, shiny Kira is there to distract him. Don't get me started on Stiles, who is apparently totally okay with the aftershocks of nogitsune possession. And Lydia, who was Allison's bestie?

Seriously TW#2

• When people leave Beacon Hills, do they just magically die and we don't discuss them anymore? Cora is still alive, right? (And you'd think the writers would keep her around to explore the Peter/Cora thing, given that he's supposedly motivated by power!) Where is Isaac, how is he dealing, and wth is Danny? I mean, I know the writers gave us replacement Danny Mason, but I mean you writers dropped a bombshell with us and you're legit not gonna follow up on that? Morell or whatever her name is?

Seriously, Teen Wolf, What the Hell?

• Season I myth / themes are werewolf-centric, focusing on Scott’s ability to deal with the bite/Peter. Season 2 mythology is Peter/Hunters/Kanima/those crazy Argents lasses. 3A gets us a smattering of Druidic myth, dark!Allison plus Alphas. 3B gives us Japanese Kitsunes and spirit possessions. Then you get to Season 4 and it’s all over the map: you got your South American were jaguar/temples, you have the Beserkers (lore of which stems from Viking-ish times), led by crazy Kate, you have your assassins & secret dead pools, and I don’t even know what all else because it’s so damn ridiculous I had to take a break after 4x6.
