Something that really gets me about anti-trans radical feminists/TERFS is when they talk about 'women mutilating their bodies'.

Like let me get this right. You theoretically believe women should have full bodily autonomy. You believe that any human 'female' (someone with a natal vagina/uterus/ovaries) is a woman. So if I, a 'woman' by your reckoning, want to cut off my tits for ANY reason, you should be all for that because it falls under the category of me, a 'woman', exercising my right to full bodily autonomy.

And yet.

Also their obsession with other peoples' tits is creepy as fuck. Like. I wanted mine gone the second they started to develop. I wanted a severe breast reduction or full mastectomy even back when I considered myself a girl, because they are uncomfortable, and cause me physical pain, and I simply don't like them. Then talking about how that's mutilation and sickening or sad or whatever really does tell me that they only care about my bodily aesthetics and not my personhood. Exactly like every cisgender man who has ever howled at me out the window of his car as he drove by.

It's because they're sex pests.

Saying terfs dont hate men bc they're willing to weaponize them against trans people in bathrooms is frankly stupid.

Lots of people hate cops but call on them in an emergency because cops are still totted around as a backbone of protection for lots of people in propaganda.

They do hate men but they know that those men also hate those "weird men/women") (trans people) and will take a womans side to stop "perversion."

How can you guys repeatly call out leftist hypocrisy about cops but not connect that maybe, m a y h ap s terfs may be hypcrites too? Like that isn't a normal thing they do?? Why would this be different

TERFs do not want what's best for trans men, period. Most people are well aware of this, but it's important to realize just how wet their "won't someone speak up for trans men?" sand castle is.

For instance, TERFs will occasionally grouse about hostility towards transmascs in trans spaces, and when it's a detransitioner who blames that for their detransitioning especially I try to throw them a little message like "hey I support transmascs a lot and have even gotten a ton of heat for it, if you ever wanna chat." Sometimes it's productive, sometimes it results in this:

The message was super mild too, idk where she's even getting "half-insulting" from, all I said was I didn't agree with her beliefs and didn't "speak out" against all the things she thought people ought to, but we could chat if she was so despondent about there being no one else in the trans community who cared about transmascs, with the promise she would face no pressure to retransition.

You can see how TERFism is at it's core a cult. It sees transandrophobia and misogyny directed at transmascs in the trans community and actively values it for how it can be weaponized into "transfems don't care about transmascs." If someone else does care about transmascs, they're actually a predator. TERFs who tell you transfems don't care about transmascs don't want transfems to care about transmacs. If the atmosphere in the community has given you that impression, they're delighted, because it makes you susceptible to their messaging.

You are cared and loved for by many people, guys. I promise. You don't need TERFs and never will. I don't even think you need to be told that, you're all so much smarter and cooler than they ever will be, and I know you aren't fooled. I just wanna remind you you're loved for it's own sake.

I think feminism has a similar problem to communism where at a certain point in societal development a lot of it has just become basic human morals so the average person who might have been attracted to those labels in the past is moving increasingly closer to just being The Average Person without a specific ideological focus, while people who are really up their own ass about their political allegiance go real hard on treating it like video game console wars and further repel anyone who may have otherwise agreed with the fundamentals of what they sell. Thus you get radfems and tankies, and naturally on those two are very often combined because they're seen as the Most Progressive You Can Possibly Be by the people who care about telling people they're feminist communists online much more than they care about their own supposed ideals.

That's not to say either feminism or communism are inherently bad, obviously, but people have to like, remember that Theory is not everything and hit the brakes and get some air every now and then.

One thing the radfem baiting @veal-exe has been doing is making it extremely clear that TERFs are confused, horrified, and enraged by belief in transandrophobia, and the fact that people who believe in transandrophobia do not blame trans women or consider trans women their enemies.

All TERFs can ever say to statistics showing trans women are objectively less safe than them is some dismissive shit like "I don't care about male on male violence" as if that changes the facts any. They generally have absolutely no idea what it's like to be in the same level of danger from violence, including sexual violence, and they tailor their dumbass quips to get around that fact.

I remember being taught that the basis of feminism as a kid was that there was no noticeable difference between sexes. That sex had no bearing on ability. That discrimination based on sex or gender was wrong and that equality should be inherent

feminism as I and a lot of my peers was taught wasnt purely about uplifting one gender. it was about freeing yourself from the confines of a strict binary and accepting that no one person was inherently superior or inferior to another

it's gender validating for some women, cis and trans alike, to portray themselves as so much weaker and more fragile than equivalent men. Like that's the big radfem scam right there.
