I rewatched the hand holding scene at the end and Pete Nowalk said he would leave that scene and whether or not Tegan and Annalise ended up together to the viewer's interpretation. He pointed out that there are many different hands in that scene, and I noticed upon rewatching, it's both men and women's hands.

So AS MUCH as I love the idea of Tegan and Annalise being endgame and being together for the rest of their lives and travelling the world together, my personal headcanon is that they probably got together when the dust settled after the courthouse shooting and gave it a fair shot. Annalise was probably disbarred after the trial and Tegan probably took her millions from Laurel, and bought a beach house somewhere tropical. It looked like they were salsa dancing somewhere beach-y and tropical in the flashforward.

But Annalise's grief over Bonnie was probably too much. And I don't know if anyone else noticed but Annalise's face kinda looked shocked and disappointed when Tegan said she didn't want kids. I think that could be one of the reasons why Annalise was initially hesitant after Tegan confessed her love because Annalise has always longed for a baby (I'm sad she never got that but happy she obviously mentored Christopher and was part of his life). So my theory is that in the long run Tegan and Annalise couldn't make a romantic relationship work despite their best efforts but stayed friends until the end. Assuming Tegan died first since she wasn't at the funeral. Even though I headcanon her as being 10-15 years younger than Annalise, but hey, that's life unfortunately.

Annalise had various lovers and relationships in between Tegan and Eve based on the different hands in the hand holding montage but in the end, she found her way back to Eve in old age and was with Eve when she died after living a long, full, life.
