Not for the first time I've seen the sentiment of "Leia has so much irrational anger! Leia is so angry for no reason! Leia is angry for fun! Leia is angry because Anakin was angry! Leia is for the girlies with a deep unexplained anger!"
This is a rather big literacy problem. You're talking about Leia. The person who lived nineteen years under a galactic dictatorship. The princess who used her privilege to learn about how it affected others and fight against it. The nineteen year old girl whose ship was captured, all her crew murdered, was tortured, and then saw her planet, her family get blown up before being sent to wait for her execution. The person who was in charge of sending soldiers to their deaths. The woman who saw her friend and partner be tortured, frozen in carbonite and sent to die. Who was put in chains and sexually harassed. Who then learned that the monster who hurt her so badly was her biological father. That Leia.
You think that Leia's anger is irrational? unexplained? biological? misunderstood?
I know I spend more time than most thinking about Leia and have rewatched the OT a bunch of times, but I'm begging you... this is basic media engagement. What are you not seeing?
Furthermore, what does it say about you if you think this is irrational? What does it say about your own "unexplained" anger? Why are you invalidating yourself instead of looking?

Watermech rambling
Based on this prev post. (and yes I'm hc-ing Toxic's civilian name to be Orin)
I do not lie; I seriously love stories/ideas where Robert has a tragic or abusive love-life. It very much fits his character of thinking he doesn't "deserve" things.
Meanwhile, Herman is over here being the protagonist of a slice-of-life anime - trying to make the world a better place despite being clumsy with an awkward power. Bringing a smile to Robert's face when he's at his most flustered. And destroying vending machines when Robert is already having a tough day.
Robert, internally: "Ah, Herman's such a nice guy. I can't let him get stuck on some broken depressed has-been like me." Herman, also internally: "I would kill a man just to see him smile." :3
Like!!! Look at the face Robert does when Herman is just being his sweet dorky self!
I also love AUs that approach Waterboy having a yandere/overprotective and/or criminal side not seen on the surface. Remember that glitch that gives him a criminal record?
Punch Up: "Okay, Phenomaman I could get. What with being a heartbroken public nuisance - but how in the fuck are YOU in the Phoenix Program?!" Waterboy, neutral tone: "I killed a man." Z Team: "..." Z Team: (*start laughing hysterically!*) Golem: "Told ya he came with jokes." Waterboy: "..." Invisigal, laugh petering out: "A-ha ha... guys..? I don't think he's bluffing." Z Team: "...?" ( 0_0) Waterboy: (*doesn't elaborate. continues cleaning*)
The Z Team would be the devils on Waterboy's shoulder, encouraging him to chop a mf'er into plant food. Its their way of wingmanning. They'll even hide the evidence for him if its done to protect Robert.
when you get excited at being the founder of an ao3 fandom tag and then realise that means there are no fics in that fandom 😭😭😭😭😭
its okay i will populate the tag if it kills me
Making a post about a character and someone whose pfp is that character liking the post is better than having a 1000 notes. The #1 authority on blorbo agrees with my take on blorbo and I think that's neat.
Currently reading "Assistant manager Kim hates idols" and... guys, wtf 😢. What's with "Kim" characters and the massive impostor syndrome they carry? Kim Rok-Soo (Cale Henituse), Kim Soleum, Kim Iwol, Kim Dokja, Kim Suho (Lloyd Frontera)... just to name some. Are all these Kims from the same family branch? I would not be surprised if they are, honestly.
