I was talking about the women who *are* being beaten, not the men who beat them. The woman who *are* being beaten are hypnotized by the patriarchy into thinking that this is sexy/cool/normal, etc, and it's not their fault. The men who beat them are horrible shit-heads and I support their public shaming.
Good to see you on Tumblr, tehbewilderness! You respectfully schooled me years ago in a comment thread on I Blame The Patriarchy, when I was still in the confused-quee-quee closet, and it helped change the way I thought.
