✿ ババガヌーシュ | Baba Ghanoush ・レバント地方または大シリア地方で食されている焼きナスの前菜である。 ・bābāという語は、アラビア語で「父」を意味し、また親愛の情を示す言葉でもある。ghannūjは人の名前である。ある女性が、歯のない父親が食べやすいようにとババガヌーシュを発明したという話もあるものの、bābāが、そのような実在の父親を指しているのか、あるいは当時もっとも重要な野菜とみられていたナスの比喩であるのかは、定かではない。
