tolerate it, absolutely, but al’ara doesn’t really go out of her way to enact it? i mean there’s no doubt, if she’s decided you’re an enemy she’s going to incorporate violence into her dealings with you as she deems appropriate, which will be pretty readily, but she’s just as capable of NOT jumping straight to it when other solutions make more sense. i don’t think she’s usually very violent for the sheer sake of it.

but i mean i literally just wrote a fic wherein she watched her superior get beheaded as punishment for the eclipsion Fucking Up & her first response was to teleport between her soldiers and theirs, with her back to the attackers, specifically because a violent response was just going to cause an even bigger shitstorm.

but it’s not all ‘appropriately’ directed, of course. she has very few qualms about violence ‘when it’s necessary’—whatever the hell that means to her.

honestly i associate gold so strongly with soralis i can’t possibly think about what other color he’d like??? i’m drawing a major blank here so he at least likes gold a lot lmao (or i could be gay as hell & go with high elven blue)

33: Are [his] parents dead?

both of soralis’ are, yes. killed a bazillion years ago before he was even a paladin—troll wars were a Bad Time my guy. that’s actually part of what leads into his first serious Holy Light Depression, which he comes out of as a paladin instead.

they were very nice tho. very accepting of changes that had to be made as soralis worked them out—he had major depression issues in his teens that they were desperate to help him sort out bc they were good like that. he loved ‘em a lot.

40: What is the craziest thing [he’s] done?

honestly he’d probably tell you it was something like the hoops he went through to save raein’s ass at the argent tournament. he’d tell you this because he knew of the kid before that (but never really met him), bc he’d been friends with his father, and was actually involved with saving him from his whole Accident re. the leg in the third war—not to mention raein was suspected to have known what happened to the blood knight whose horse & vestment he showed up on the grounds half-dead with, so of course soralis had a lot of personal interest in seeing the kid pull through.

but also he’s nothing but resentful and mournful about ithaen at this point in time so raein is a source of lots of ugly feelings and the very sight of him kind of infuriates soralis for a very long time. hence why he’d tell you what he did is kinda nuts, because it wasn’t really something he ethically, work-wise, should’ve done, and also he can’t believe he did it because he HATED the kid. (which wasn’t fair but soralis is a jerk so there you go.)

15: What makes [Jorden] angry?

his friends getting hurt what the Actual Fuck is wrong with you, what is he, a medic??? he knows that’s what he gets assigned to do half the time but fuck. also parents making their kids sad for literally any reason. rubs him the wrong way, kinda messes with his whole day.

41: What is [his] motto about life?

if your father’s pissed you’re doing good and possibly the light’s work.

16: When is [Rikke’s] favorite time of year?

probably autumn! it’s pretty and calm and not so Hot All The Time. i think she just kinda doesn’t know why? but i think also she has a lot of sentiment in it, which is why she doesn’t know—she is a sentimental creature & has no idea she is.

23: What’s [her] biggest secret?

if not her fears (creaky unsound old buildings/tunnels) then maybe the striking resemblance she has to her mother & how she feels about it? both her siblings look a lot more like dallis, but rikke looks almost IDENTICAL to anja, which is fine in and of itself, except rikke is a big big baby about anja so it’s not really. also just that she’s tired and running herself into the ground—which isn’t really a secret to anyone but her, isn’t it.
